Philly needs guard help and thus would add a lot, while keeping their current bigs. They could draft Jaylen Brown Third or trade a big for a good SF. Plus they have Saric coming. We could also include Kelly he would help those bigs out with spacing.

 Okafor
 Noel
 Jaylen Brown
 Smart
 Isaiah  Thomas

Covington, Ish Smith, Kelly, Saric that's a good nine man Rotation with Embiid the wildcard.

We get Simmons or Ingram and two more Brooklyn picks .

It's a lot to offer but 76ers still says no, you don't trade number 1 picks without a guaranteed superstar in return, unless it is a weak draft class (2013) which this isn't.

No- Why would we do that.

No one knows for sure if Ingram or Simmons could possibly be franchise players.

Simmons really doesn't fit in with Steven's Pace and Space style, you would have to surround Simmons with 4 shooters to maximise his gifts and we just don't have that.

Stay the course, and only trade picks for guaranteed superstars, better to swing and miss with player development than giveaway picks for unproven talent.

I voted 'no' though not without really looking at it. Leaves you needing to bring in guards, Rozier and Turner won't be starting. Who would you try to bring in?

You do it if you think Ben Simmons is the real deal Holyfield. There is a solid chance Simmons takes the leauge by storm. In which case. Your a genius.

 Amir
 Simmons
 Crowder
 Bradley
 Rozier

Not a bad starting five. Simmons would be the best passer and ball handler on the team so he would love that having the ball a lot.

We would absolutely need Turner back on thus team.

Yes definitely -- still more than enough assets and flexibility (future picks, cap space) to build a future title winning team. And now we would have a genuine top tier talent.

I don't see Philly being interested in this though. You don't trade a guy like Ben Simmons without getting a young top 10-15 player back in return. Multiple assets do not make up for that.

Philly isn't trading that pick. You don't tank for three years to trade the pick when you win the lottery. Just isn't happening.

An all star, the #3 pick, two more picks, a decent back up big, and a decent back up guard for the top pick? Uh no.

It's Ben Simmons, not Lebron

I don't see this happening from either team.

Philly has the #1 pick, they can't afford to give it up from a publicity point of view.

As for the Celtics if Simmons busts, you just set yourself back 5 years.
As the #3 pick, potentially Bender could still be a top talent, also Smart looks like a future 1st team all nba defender.  And IT is already a 20+ PPG all-star who can score important points for our team.

Doing this trade today, would probably set us back to a 35-40 win team because I don't believe Simmons can dominate out of the gate.  He still needs to learn how to shoot.

My God. These posts are really p---ing me off. There's practically no way we trade up to the top 2. And there's no way we would EVER include that big of an offer to get there.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Voted no, but had to think about the option ex-Smart. In either case, who would we have left that could score? I could see a lot of 80-68 losses with that lineup.

You should not be betting the house on a guy who couldn't even carry his team into the tournament and whose motor and shot is questioned.
