I would like to print out that report, place it in my cat's litter box, and leave it there for a week.

However, my cat would refuse to go to the litter box.  When I would ask why, her response will be

"THAT'S REDUNDANT!"

:)

R.I.P. Robin Williams...thank you for the memories!

If we are absolutely convinced that Simmons can be a Magic Johnson-style PG or Smart is ready to become our starting PG, I could see us trading Thomas and 3 if the 76ers would give us 1 and Okafor (or Noels). Heck, even Thomas and 3 in exchange for just 1. I do not think the 76ers are that dumb, but nothing would surprise me.

About as likely as an Alex Jones conspiracy.

Our only consistent scorer is Isaiah, so yeah, lets trade him to Philly #logic.

Wow.  Is that article a fantastic example of absolutely crap journalism or what?

This tidbit is precious:

Quote
SB Nation reports that some fans in Boston are not happy with Isaiah Thomas after he publicly shared his thoughts on playing a bigger role for his team, playing a starter and not coming off the bench.

As the link to the "SB Nation report", he provides a link to this celticsblog fan post!

http://www.celticsblog.com/2016/5/23/11756558/why-the-celtics-need-to-consider-trading-isaiah-now-yes-i-said-it

which is nothing but the random opinion of a fan who apparently doesn't like Isaiah all that much.

Clue for Ernesto Soliven (author of the article):  A CB 'fanpost' is not a 'SB Nation report'.

Fortunately, the comment section under the article is calling him out.

None of this is based on anything real.  Nothing to see here.  Moving along.

Please tell me no one actually fell for this?

Anything is possible with Danny.

IT has 2 years left.  Danny would think about it ,if this rumor is true
"Danny would think about it ,if this rumor is true"

Does that actually mean something? That is what we call a tautology. If the rumor that the Celtics are considering that is true, than, by definition, Danny is thinking about it.

This is, this is a team rumor. It is just someone making up stuff. We can make up rumors here too. Then people will report about our made up stories and people would start talking about them as "rumors".

I believe that Danny believes that he has to upgrade the length and style at the SG/SF position.
It's not like IT/Smart/Bradley/Turner doesn't work, but Boston lacks an athletic slasher that can score from deep or the lane.  All of Boston's guards have scoring limitations.
Add Terry Rozier to the mix and you have all the ingredients for a trade.
I'd expect that Ainge will move one of these guys.  Who goes, depends upon which team he deals with and who they covet.

I'd do IT4 and the #3 for Okafor and the #1, I'd draft Ingram and have a young team full of potential!
Not that I am taking the "rumor" seriously, just playing along but this trade would break down to #3 for Okafor (which is fair value both ways I feel) leaving IT4 for #1.  No chance that deal happens.  IT4 + something perhaps, maybe #16, maybe even Brooklyn 2018.  So say IT4 + Brooklyn 2018 for Simmons?  I think that is still a good trade for the Celtics.

You would have to believe whomever you pick at #1 (and I like Ingram over Simmons) is going to be a superstar otherwise you can't give up that Brooklyn pick. But I would be willing to give up the rest of this years picks, last thing we need is 5 rookies!
