He is a better overall defender than Westbrook, imo. Sure, he is limited defensively due to his average athleticism but he puts effort in it. He is a good team defender and is leading the league in steals for a reason. He stays with his man, despite getting blown by on some occasions.

Game 5 is a testament of his defensive prowess. He made some great defensive play on crucial stretch of the game.

More like not capable to guard/handle athletic guards

Curry is no Paul or Avery Bradley. That's for sure

Steph Curry has been a solid defender for a few years now.

Firmly middle of the pack defensively among starting PGs.

After watching him a bit more now do you agree he's an incredible scorer?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

And Westbrook and Durant subtly threw shade at his defense last night, too.

He's always been a little quicker defensively than his reputation.  He has active hands and will poke the ball away and jump in passing lanes.

At times, he gambles too much and he used to die on screens.  Truthfully, I haven't paid enough attention to his defense recently to know if this is still the case.  But he's not a bad defender.

Bballbreakdown has a video claiming that Curry is an elite defender. I don't agree, but I do think he's underrated on that end.

People are bashing him now when his team is playing poorly and when he's injured. He plays solid defense. He will never be Avery Bradley pit bull like defender but he's no freakin James Harden either...

He's not injured.
He's hurt, you can see it.

But being hurt is the norm late in a playoff run, for pretty much every player.

Well, yeah, he's hurt. But he's good enough to play on the court and, as you said, he's far from the only one who's hurt out there. But he's not injured.

Well you can't compare knee injury he's having with injury Adams having (thumb). That's different. To me, RW and KD are healthy because they play their game. With Steph's different, you could see he's not playing his game. That is if you have watched their games...

Adams also has an ankle injury. You can see how it's affected his game. That is, if you have watched his games...
