If Toronto pays Derozan the max, which would start at $25 million, they would be at around $85 million with ONLY 10 players signed!!

They simply could NOT afford to match Biz if we were to offer a starting contract at 7 to 9 million starting.

I would MUCH rather pay him that at age 23 than pay an aging Howard $25 million per!!

Thoughts?

I would LOVE Bismack Attack, especially if we could pair him with a stretch 4 (Bender, Ellenson, KO). How much do you think he would cost?
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

25 boards and 4 blocks in Game 3

I want Bismack Biyombo on the Boston Celtics. If Danny can get this kid, I will consider it a successful summer for the Celtics regardless of what else he does.

26 boards and don't forget the pretty assist (Biz does not get many of those:-))) and those 7 gritty points.

Every time I see his first name, I get a craving for a bismarck.  ;D

He was a machine tonight! I'm mildly skeptical he's only 23 though.

I desire Pepto Bismol myself. And I am all about him being a part of the Cs, although his asking price is going up exponentially with every game at this point.

His game reminds me of Big Ben and Dennis Rodman. Pure grit and hustle.

Charlotte made a BIG mistake letting him go. No surprise there considering Michael Jordan is their general manager. He and Kaminsky would have been a very intriguing front court moving forward.

I would be all for the Celtics offering the kid a 4 year/40M contract, although he may be able to get more elsewhere considering big guys who can defend are a scarce commodity in todays NBA.

Heh... i still like Biyombo.   Hilarious how much flack I got this year for wanting to sign him and now he's contributing as the starting center for a ECF team.

Seriously though... having been able to see WCS for a full year and knowing that they are the same age (WCS with his 4 years of College ball and Biyombo with his 4 years of learning on the Bobcats), what's the conclusion on how much disparity there is between those two players?

WCS averaged 7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1 block with 56% shooting and 64% from the line in 21.4mpg.

Biyombo averaged 5.5 points, 8 rebounds, 1.6 blocks with 54% shooting and 63% from the line in 22mpg.

Roughly the same, but of course WCS was playing for a bottomfeeder and Biyombo contributed to a 56 win ECF team.

My point was that if Biyombo was 80% of what WCS was, we'd be better off signing him for chump change as opposed to giving up 5 first rounders to trade up for WCS.

Some stupid team that have no chance of winning a ring will offer him a max money. Just like how Chandler got paid after winning a championship with the Mavs.

We could probably keep Amir and sign Bismack this summer. I think Amir is retainable if we decline his contract and offer him somewhere between 5-7 million.
