So would you do this type of trade ?

Hield and AB or Smart for Butler ?

At this point since I don't think Durant is coming to Boston, and I don't want Horford or Howard on max contracts , I would stay patient and keep building this thing .

We still have the nets picks for 2 more years to make deals , and plenty of cap space in the next 2 years when younger free agents become available .

Yeah I would.

That doesn't work because the salaries don't match.  Next poll...

#3 and AB maybe.

#3 and Smart? I'd laugh at that one if I were Danny.

They don't need to. We are under the cap.

I vote no on all 3.  Jimmy Butler is super overrated.  I wouldn't trade any of them for premium-brand Ricky Davis.

Can I get a NO option?

Edit. Thanks
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I'd be more likely to trade AB......however.....I'd play a dirty trick on Marcus Smart.

I'd start Rozier over Smart and tell him we would probably limit his minutes pretty severely till he can hit 40%, 33%, and 75%.

Or he can go work on it in the D League.

Smart has got to have the fear of God put in him over his offensive "ability"

Not trading Smart. 3 + AB feels a bit like an overpay, but it might be necessary.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

No because we need a BIG in order to make a real leap over all the other teams in the EC. Get Cousins.

I'd like to also look at signing Allen Crabbe, but he is a RFA. I think in the right system AC could make a big impact with his insane shooting and defense.....plus he's got length and may be a better solution if we make a decision about Smart/Avery or both.

Too much.

And I really want to see Jimmy Butler in green.

The guy we take 3rd might end up better than Butler.  Same with Smart.
