Suppose Bird decides that he wants to trade George and start all over with a new coach, new system, and new core. Let's also suppose that he'd rather help out his buddy Ainge than the hated Lakers. However, it still will take a pretty decent-sized offer to nab him.

Would you trade something like Crowder, Smart, Salary Filler, Top-2 Brooklyn Pick, and Dallas pick for something like George and Miles? That would give them a really nice core of Smart, Crowder, Turner, and Simmons/Ingram, along with two other first rounders that they might be able to package for a mid to late lottery pick.

George would be an excellent draw for Durant, and if you'd add someone like Horford at the 5, then you'd easily have the best front court in the NBA.

Agh. I voted yes-absolutely, without reading the post lol. If I could I'd change my vote to yes, but with a different package
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

What kind of package would you offer that you think would be listened to by Bird?

I'd remove smart from your deal and add in pick 23 and RJ/Terry.

Same here. The title is far different than also including Smart, Crowder, and the Mavs pick in the deal.

I didnt read the post... #2 Pick yes.   #2 with Jae and Smart.  No.

I'd rather keep them three and get a FA.  No brainier there.   Those guys are quality rotational guys.  Our depth is going to vanish after we lose Sulley, Zellar and maybe Turner.

IT/Smart/Terry
Bradley/Hunter/Young
Jae/JJ
KO/Mickey
Amir

Looks like we would lose two starters and gain one.

People we need to keep IT, Bradely, Jae, Smart and JJ.  Those Contracts are awesome.   Play the FA game and hope we get a Top 2 Pick.

If we can Land one All Star FA and get a top 2 Pick we are set for a long time.

I would do that package I'd the pick was #2, but I think it's too much if the pick is #1
I'm bitter.

Pretty much this outside of IT  and maybe Smart. If you can get George in any way you pretty much have to do it

Me too. Crowder+Smart+Dallas = more value than Ingram.

I don't know how anyone could say no to the proposed deal here. This gives us a great chance to get Horford and Durant

Horford/Olynyk
George/Jerebko
Durant/Miles
Bradley/Free agent or draft pick
Thomas/Rozier

Like I said above, I'd give them more picks or rozier or hunter, but I'd try my best to keep smart. If I HAD to include smart, I'd then try to remove crowder/Dallas pick

I would agree with a draft day package that was a top two pick, Jerebko, Johnson (cap space) and an additional unprotected first

Same, the title mislead me. I wouldn't also include Smart and Crowder. One of them but not both

If the pick is #2 and Simmons is gone, then yes.

If the pick is #1 or its #2 and Simmons is stil available, then no.

I don't know if I'd trade Simmons for anybody short of curry..but id trade Ingram for George in a heartbeat.
