Even if the Celtics acquire another big (Horford?), should JJ start even if it means bringing Amir Johnson off the bench?

Jerebko? Hell No.

I mean, he did ok for an undermanned celtics team in the playoffs, but we got crushed by a mediocre team.

If we come out of this summer with any need to start Jerebko, then it was a terrible offseason. He's a decent 8-10th man at best.

If Crowder is still the starting SF, the Celtics need more three-point ability from the 4/5 slots.  Jerebko seems like a better choice than Olynyk.  He has a skill set that makes him a good fit in the system.

Depends what happens in the off season.   I hope we upgrade this position quite frankly and cut ties with Sully.  Jonas would be ideal off the bench but I hope we get some big upgrades and ones that can play on both ends and stay healthy.

Yes -- if no superior PF is acquired, Jerebko should start. I love his defensive quickness and versatility. Amir should be a center or a bench player.

So much is going to happen or not happen this offseason, that who really knows?  We could draft Simmons as our PF going forward and start Jerebko for two months until he's ready.  We could trade for Blake.  I would say that if we kept our roster exactly the same and traded all of our current picks for future picks, then sure.  Other than that, I don't have any clue.

IMO he is good enough to start against certain team, but he really is a bench player. We'll see how it goes next year.

The answer to this question is no,  if he ends up staying it will be on a new contract/deal since his 2nd year on his current contract isn't guaranteed.  IMO he and Amir were signed to their deals for future cap flexibility and the possibility of using those contract as trade filler if the opportunity ever arose.

Celtics roster may look completely different next year.

At this point I think I would rather start Jerebko then sign Horford...but that's another argument for another day.

In short I really like Jerebko as a versatile defender and outside shooter off the bench. I don't think he's really good enough to start unless you are pretty desperate (as we were).  Like him as a player though and wouldn't mind seeing him return if doesn't interfere with the rest of the offseason plans.

If the C's don't have a better option than Jerebko next year this offseason will have been a bad one.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

This is my exact thinking.
