if durant is going to walk
,then westbrook next year, forget butler, maybe okc, rather than lose two might take as much as they could for westbrook now - and okc rebuilds-i don't like to get into getting superstars but it hit me westbrook would secure durant

Huge yes.

Maybe we ultimately end up with Butler and Westbrook.

We could make a trade to get Butler now and then trade for Westbrook before his contract is up. Maybe we sacrafice a Nets pick to entice OKC to just give up on him staying if Durant leaves.

If Durant wants to play with Westbrook he stays in OKC

If Durant wants to play with Butler he goes to CHI

If Durant wants to play with Crowder and AB he comes to Boston

I think OKC would seriously consider Westbrook, but only if Durant leaves in free agency.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Should have traded Rondo for him years ago---but then again, should have traded Rondo for Steph Curry in His rookie year.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Yeah, there was speculation, but I think it was the other team that backed out of it.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I understand this was made tongue in cheek, but don't you think our fans overestimate CBS's reputation?

I mean sure, he is on his way to become a coaching legend, but most players prefer to work with established and experienced coaches.

My gut feeling is that if given the choice, players would value more working with Carlisle, Kerr, Budenholzer, Casey etc. And I say this despite thinking that CBS is already on a par with Carlisle and (experience aside) very close to what Pop and Kerr are doing.

From what I understand it was the OTHER teams that vetoed those trades.  Danny was smart and knew the potential of those other guys.  Unfortunately, the other teams knew it too.

of course, I mean Stevens finished outside the top 5 in coach of the year voting and just got bounced in the 1st round again both years the deciding game was in Boston.

Budenholzer maybe better but Casey is not. I would go Pop, Carlisle, Kerr, Budenholzer, Stotts, then CBS. We had closer games than Atl did last year against Cleveland.
