What if:

- We do not receive one of the top two picks in the lottery.

- Cousins, Butler, Griffin and Love are unavailable for trade.

Then:

1. How would you feel about trading our top pick to Utah for Gordon Hayward and Shelvin Mack, Butler alumni under Brad Stevens?

2. Would you be OK with any other assets being added to seal the deal? Let's assume the Jazz are only willing to part with Hayward and Mack.

3. Who would be the top two best free agents to complement our two best players, Thomas and Hayward? Assuming we are only able to land one of these free agents, would their addition along with Hayward be enough to make us contenders for the NBA championship next year?

4. If we made this trade, we still have a boatload of assets available, so what other types of trades can you envision (either with or without the above free agency addition)?

Look forward to your thoughts!

I predict a few people are going to get Butler the school confused with Jimmy Butler in this thread.

Hayward's a nice player to have but I wouldn't give up a top 5 pick for him.

I don't understand the fascination with linking Brad to guys that played for him in college
