I voted for 3 because  think that would be an incredibly fun team to watch.
Only question is, could they keep JJ instead of resigning Turner?
Ideally I'm also rather keep Rozier if possible. I prefer him as forth guard. Maybe replace that with another pick?

#3. But if any one of those happen, I'll be a very surprised and happy camper.

#3. That's a contender. Devastating starting line up across all 5 positions plus a topnotch 6th man in IT. It's a little thin but I have confidence that the vet mins will come to add depth.

Why not the other 4:
#1: I like Blake but RoLo brings zero on offense, which kills our versatility (which has sort of become our team's identity). I like the thought of Pierce coming home though.
#2: I don't think KO is a starter in this league.
#4: My second choice, actually. We bolster our biggest needs, namely scoring (Durant) and inside presence (Horford/Whiteside), while not disrupting the chemistry too much.
#5: wouldn't move the needle much, in the short term. The team feels like two pieces away from contending. It would be a shame to let this offseason, in particular, pass.

I've been pushing #3 for a couple months now. I'm sticking with it.

Give me #4 if they crack the two 2 but without the resigning Turner part.

I like #1, just resign Sully to backup both the PF and C.

I like # 3.

3, 4, 2, 1, 5 would be my order of preference.

I don't necessarily buy that Marcus starts over IT by next season, though.   Maybe the following year.

Fair chance Smart or IT gets dealt in one of the trade packages anyway, though.

Easily # 3 ALL DAY, EVERYDAY!

I am a sucker for players who play their positions and having a balanced team...#3 accomplishes that perfectly.
A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.

Push yourself again and again. Don't give an inch until the final buzzer sounds.

2, 4, 1, 3, 5

Really? Why so low on the third route, which seems to have the most talent by far.

The thing is, I don't think number three is all that far-fetched either, as long as we get the first domino to fall.

The Butler trade is probably the first domino. If we could sell Chicago on Crowder (apparently high on), Rozier (who they were high on in the draft), salary filler (Young and Hunter), and the Brooklyn 2016 pick (have to be top-3 most likely), then it's not that hard to convince Durant and Horford to team up together alongside Butler. We could even throw in the Dallas pick if they wanted more, too, which would give them a really solid core of Rozier, Crowder, McDermott, Portis, and whoever they pick with the Brooklyn, Dallas, and Chicago picks (or they could even combine the latter two to try and move up a little for someone like a Poeltl around 10 or 11). I more than likely wouldn't throw in another Brooklyn pick, though.

I voted for 5 because I think all the others are extremely far-fetched, relying as they do on signing Durant.

Even if we signed Butler first and still had room for two max free agents, do you still think it'd be far-fetched for Durant to sign here?

I've been contemplating a more veteran route that starts with Cousins.

Step 1: break the bank for Cousins, to lure Durant (defeats the Westbrook defense of OKC)

BKN16, BKN17, MEM19, Bradley, KO, Young

Step 2: sign Durant

Step 3: sign vets: Pau Gasol and Jared Dudley

The team becomes:
Guards: Thomas ($6.6M), Smart ($3.6M), Rozier ($1.9M), Hunter ($1.2M)
Wings: Dudley ($7M), Durant ($25M), Crowder ($7M)
Bigs: Cousins ($15.7M), Gasol ($12M), Mickey ($1.2M)

+ ~$5M cap room, our 1st rounder, exception(s)

We end up swapping Bradley, Sully, Amir, KO, Young from this year's squad for Cousins, Durant, Gasol, Dudley
