I have a feeling that one of these players will be packaged in a trade and dealt to another team. If you had to pick one to stay, who would it be?

  • That's turrible
As much as I hate to see this because he's been here for so many years, Avery. If we get Butler and Durant, Avery is much more expendable due to the upgrade on both offense and defense. Crowder is a more emotional leader while still being really good on both sides of the ball. He brings a toughness to the team's identity which was clearly lacking when he was out for those 2+ weeks. Plus we have Marcus. He's not as good of an offensive player yet, but his defense is more versitile and he does the little things that help teams win, which is becoming more and more rare these days. It will have to happen and that makes me sad. I really loved the team we had this year but we need more overall talent. And if that's what it takes, then it sadly needs to happen.

Crowder. We saw in the playoffs his inability to shoot, and his ankle can't be the sole reason for the fact he made absolutely nothing in the Hawks series. If a shooter like Butler's on the other end of the deal, I relent and give the Bulls Crowder.

I'd prefer Bradley's defense - I don't like his poor shot selection a bit, as he contributes to the Celtics overall shooting woes with it - to Crowder's game.

Crowder

Bradley is a better perimeter defender and shooter.

It depends on who we can get.   I think if we can get Butler than Jae could be gone or his playing time reduced.   Rozier coming along could make AB expendable at some point.   No one on this team is untouchable I think.   Not Smart, who has his faults, or IT who also has faults.  If the right person becomes available, I think Ainge would trade either one of them.

This won't be as hard as trading Big Al, or PP and KG and he pulled the trigger then folks.

Has to be Crowder.  Avery is too good defensively.

Crowder can play three positions while Avery can only play one. I would trade Avery and it really isn't even close to me. Luckily Avery's value remained in tact by not playing while Crowder's probably took a small hit due to his awful performance in the playoffs.

Crowder is a very good shooter from deep and can create his own shot off the dribble - I think people are just forgetting that he was probably our best two way player this year.

Is there something that makes injured players popular to the forums?

When Crowder got injured, I remember many people commenting that he is our 'most valuable' (which was often taken to mean 'best'); now it's AB's turn.

(Incidentally, the first time I remember this happening was with RR coming back from his ACL injury).

I really like Crowder's contract (7 mill until 2019-20). AB's is pretty good too (8 mill until 2017-18) but the two extra years in Jae's case make a hell of a difference; IMO it makes sense to see Crowder as the better asset.

Trade Bradley -- I prefer Crowder's size & physicality, rebounding and defensive range 2-4.

I'd rather trade Smart.

I'm not opposed to that. I am pessimistic his shooting will ever improve a lot, given his terrible form.

This might be a superficial way of looking at it, but without Avery Bradley, we are not winning that Golden State game. And it just so happens that Crowder was not in that game.

So I wonder if there's anything to take away from that^^
