Max is entitled to his opinions but I do think as an employee of the Celtics, it's a bit irresponsible for him to speak publicly against a player that we've been linked to so many times.

I like Cousins' game more than Max's commentary.

Why? Max is giving his opinion, one that is shared by many, and the fact that he likely has a lot of contacts throughout the league and boldly calls Cousins an "idiot" does say a lot. Has Maxwell referred to any other player in the same fashion? If not, then his comments have weight.

Why would anybody give Max's opinion any extra value? He's a clown.

I have no interest in Maxwell's opinion on anything.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Cousins threw Smart to the ground and is a Sacramento King. He is the enemy. Once he is on C's the tone will change.

Trade Amir and the pick (maybe more needed depending on how the lotto balls fall) for DMC. Then sign Durant and Rondo. Championship next year:

DMC/KO
KD
Crowder
Bradley/IT
Rondo/Smart

I respect Max's opinion, he made some fair points.  His opinion is certainly not the end all.

No matter what Max or anyone else says, it comes down to what we give up.  For the right deal, I take him, absolutely.  He is not such an idiot that he wouldn't be a useful player and a talent upgrade for us.  Because of the background though, he value is diminished some so you can't overpay for him.

Is Stevens that much better a coach where Cousins and Isaiah  are going to beat lebron when they were bottom feeders in the west? I am a fan of Cousins although he is a ball dominant player and not the greatest team defender on the planet.  he's not exactly bill russell here.  Seems to me like the C's are selling their identity a bit here just because of the lack of talent around the league.  He's more manny ramirez than anything.

I see the Celtics identity clashing with what the league has become in ways where we are getting a bit desparate.  All these guys Cousins, Butler, Horford etc are meh to me.  Maybe that's how  these all time celtics are kind of seeing it to.

50-60 years ago the celtics would have scoffed at Wilt Chamberlain and been able to do better. Nowadays the game is different.

Or the C's have just made it that way where we should just draft our own guys.

Max's opinion is the same as the opinion of the Kings' color commentator, so I'd say it's a valid point of view, regardless of what people think of Max.

I don't blame him. I have mixed feelings about Cousins too.

Wonderful talent but extremely annoying & frustrating personality on the court. Not an easy person to root for at times. Or even just to watch. He too regularly fills you with disgust with the way he conducts himself on the court. Not sure I really want to have him here. To watch Cousins for 82games + playoffs. Year after year. All that nonsense that comes with him. Ugh ...
