I know he had a rough year with all the injuries, but the kid is all-star caliber when healthy. Mannix mentioned the C's we interested in him at the deadline . Is he not exactly what this team needs? Another play maker, who is a young Ray Allen level player . He would give us that 2nd 20 PPG scorer next to IT, and would provide the spacing this team needs.

And he preforms up to all-star level in the playoffs too .

In 21 post season games he is averaging 21ppg on 38% shooting from 3 .

I see him being easier to attain than say a Butler would be .

He is a restricted free agent, so we could offer him the max, though I think Washington would match .

But if he really wants to come here , I think a package built around Smart or AB

If the pick falls out of the top 2 , I would do AB and the pick for Beal and Porter

A Starting backcourt of Smart/Beal would be great , and you have IT coming off the bench against 2nd units , and tired 1st units .

I like him, but only if you tell me we are getting a front court scorer as well.

I am somewhat ok with our Guard situation, though obviously beal would be a huge upgrade. What I want this off season is a legit superstar at the 3 or 4.

I'm not interested until that guy shows he can put together a full season.

The first problem is that WAS is likely to much whatever offer we make.

The second is that (ideally)I would like us to go after either a versatile wing or a rim protector.

Sure, Beal would give a boost to our 3p% but he coming here would also mean Bradley coming off the bench. Is Beal much of an upgrade over AB? At least comparing them on basketball reference suggests they are pretty close.

Pass.  Wizards are worried about his health long term and we should be too.

Sounds like Beal and Jrue Holiday are in a similar spot.  Not built to withstand a full NBA season, at least not playing starter minutes.

If this was NBA 2k and you could turn off injuries then sure.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I wouldn't be surprised if the C's sign him to a max offer sheet. He would be a good fit as a solid young player. Obviously the medicals would have to check out before.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I'll pass.

We don't need any smaller versions of Sam Bowie on the roster.

Pass. Don't think Beal can stay healthy.

I'd love to add Beal. Not sure it's possible though. Wiz would be silly to give up on him.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

Feels risky, and more like a secondary move compared to the front court upgrades we really need.

I did fall in love with his jumper during that Wiz playoff run a couple seasons back. Silky.

I like Beal, but his situation reminds me of Brandon Roy a few years ago. I hope he can recover and have a long career, really fun to watch him play.

Not being allowed to exceed 35 minutes in a game doesn't really seem like a major issue. If Washington is ready to move on from him, he would make a great replacement to Turner should he decided to sign elsewhere. I am not sure I give up much in the way of assets in terms of a trade, but our pick and a guy like RJ or Young would at least be mandatory since Washington will likely fake being interested in keeping him (unlike us with Sully or Zeller).

Let's not forget that Beal is a legit all-star when healthy and would come at a much lower cost than Butler. We also have the guard depth to cover for him if he does miss time.
