No one knows anything about Jordan Mickey. He hasn't played, and the D League is meaningless. These comparisons to Cauley Stein ... Oy.

Mickey is better version

Mickey is not a version of WCS. Mickey is a forward. WCS is a center. They have two different skill-sets defensively and offensively .

Yeah, I think WCS is a guy that Ainge should take a run at if Cousins is unavailable.

I prefer WCS to Poeltl.

guards multiple positions, runs the court 9ft-3 standing reach-mickey is 6-8 not a legit nba center a shot blocker from weakside-willie caulie stein would fit right in for brad stevens--great physique seems durable-a smart kid he would love boston-22yrs old

And he can't score the basketball.

No thanks.

Agreed. WCS quietly had a good rookie year. He can be a perfect fit for us with our switch-happy defense.

Ainge should acquire no one who cannot score the basketball and improve the club's overall shooting.

WCS does not fit that profile.

Mickey is better version

Much in the same way that RJ Hunter is a better version of Devin Booker, right?

This is my concern to some extent as well. But consider this: DeAndre Jordan isn't exactly Hakeem Olajuwon in the post, and he's still great for the Clippers' offense. Why? Because he crashes to the hoop on pick and rolls and is a threat for lobs. That means the opposing teams' defense has to suck into the paint, spreading the floor for shooters on the perimeter.

I haven't watched enough of him in college or with the Kings, but if he's a threat for alley-oops, then that's good enough to contribute on offense, especially given his defense.
