Oh wow. Dallas just got so lucky on that! That was a fraction of a second too late.

And just like that Dallas steals home court advantage from OKC.

Woo come east Durant!

Them losing in the first round plus a come-from-behind victory in our series would literally create the perfect storm for Durant to come to Boston, let alone our cap space and high draft pick that we have!

Geez, poor Adams - great play. I don't hate OKC, but it's all part of the process. Don't worry, KD, we got you (and we need you!).

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
The harder the Mavs make it for the Thunder in the first round, the more chance they get gassed/hurt their chances at making the WCF.

I think they play the Spurs next if they win this one anyway.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'm really hoping that he has more integrity/pride than to jump ship to go to the single-greatest NBA regular season team that will most likely be looking to three-peat. That'd absolutely kill his legacy I think. You can hate Lebron James all you want (and I do  ;D), but KD jumping to the Warriors would be twice as bad as Lebron gathering the super-team in Miami.

Wow, no Steph Curry and Houston still lost. Houston is embarrassing themselves.

We all knew there was something wrong with them when they suddenly fired McHale. I mean, what a joke, I'm still laughing at it and enjoying their "process" right now.

Is it embarrassing?  Golden State without Curry is still the better team.  Houston is just barely a playoff team.

It will be interesting to see if Kevin Durant still has shooting woes in the next game(s) of this series. I highly doubt it but if that's the case, not only would it mean trouble for OKC, we could also potentially see some rumors/chatter that KD "quit" on his team because he is going to bolt in free agency, like we heard it with LeBron and the Cavs in 2010.

Which would obviously be an ideal scenario for the Celtics

I generally agree.  GS's third-best player averaged 22 points per game on the ninth-best eFG% in the NBA, and is regarded as a very good defender as well.  Curry could sit this round out and it wouldn't matter.  Heck, Curry might be able to sit the next round out with the same result.

Having said that, Houston is still embarrassing.  I think they're my least favorite competitive team in the NBA to watch (excepting those who aren't trying to win).  Their offense is nonstop isobeard.  Their defense is a lot of uninterested pieces anchored by a big man who is no longer  capable of anchoring a great defense by himself.
