Nothing will happen until after the lottery. Doesn't make much sense to think about it until then.

Thanks. Stopped reading. TP

they'd likely want more in picks and good young players with potential than established vets like bradley

we have the picks
but i dont think we have the young player
as our best young player is smart
who is more of a defensive guard and hasn't shown he could be elite offensively
and defensive playing style is what bulls are moving away from

Butler's team didn't make the playoffs. The offers for Butler that are being thrown out on this board are ridiculous. I would never offer that much for Butler, who is not a good three point shooter and neither will Ainge. I don't recall him typically overpaying.

This is excellent news. Butler would be a fantastic fit in Boston, but I think the way Danny approached Butler at the trade deadline was apt: Crowder should be off the table. Crowder's deal is just too good to trade, but more importantly, the one-step-backward-two-steps-forward approach won't work. The net impact of adding Butler but losing Crowder would likely be underwhelming. On the other hand, the two together would be the league's best wing duo, a two-way juggernaut. I'd be okay with giving up a lot though, as much as the 2016 Nets Pick, Smart or Bradley, and the Mavs Pick or Rozier.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

As usual, each time trade proposal are made hear, we are throwing our assets like peanuts and we consider good players from other teams like god or something...

Butler is, to me, worth at least the #3 pick+Avery bradley. I'd also give them the Mavs pick or Terry Rozier if they demanded it.

For everyone talking down about Butler, remember that he's  a top 10 scorer and a top 10 defender.

To me, that's  a top 10 player, and when we have an overload of assets, teams may ask for more.
Hell if Danny was going to give up 5 picks for Winslow he'll definitely be pushed to a similar deal for Butler.

The Dallas pick, Rozier and two early seconds is enough on my part. If they think its robbery let them call the cops

What's the point of that?
He's a top 10/15 player locked up long term on a good contract.

Isn't this what Karl said about Cousins as he tried to go behind the front office's back and trade him?

It seems like a great way to alienate a superstar.

I have heard that Bulter and Noah are close friends.

It seems Chicago will most likey dump Noah .

This may not be to the Bulters liking , amoung other things that may not endear Bulter to the Bulls as much as before......kinda like Perk and Rondo friendship.

I think Bulter , Noah and Horford. Would be a haul for,the Celtics .  Given we may lose AB , Smart , and or other rookies .   Although ...not sure I'd give up Crowder , he is too important identity of CBS and his system.

I still see Crowder as our biggest player asset ....one all teams would love to have .....and to get another top player teams are gonna want Crowder , Smart or AB. ......our defense trio

Butler would be pretty high on my list for potential offseason targets if you can get him without touching the current core TOO much. Legitimately 6'6" swingmen who defend multiple positions at a high level and can score in bunches have inordinate value right now - it's really tough to find those guys on the market and why DeMarre Carroll got maxed out after averaging 12 points a game over two years in Atlanta. If they could follow that up with the acquisition of a big man of note, be it through a trade that sends out mostly picks or a free agent signing, they'd put themselves in really good position heading into next season.

Danny offers Smart + Nets pick. Bulls ask for Crowder as well. Danny caves.

Apparently there was some pretty big locker room issues between Jimmy and Noah.
