I absolutely despise & hate the guy but its gotta be Felger.

Top rated drive show in Boston (which reflects more on how poor Boston sports radio has become) plus the cushy gigs at CSNNE.  He's all over the place.

Honestly, I think you're showing your Chicago colors right now. The tempature gas changed on Felger of late. He's not where he was 5 years ago

He still has the #1 rated afternoon drive show in Boston, right?

He is still hosting a good portion of New England Sports Tonight, right?  And whatever that Sunday night wrap up show is (basically, the spirit child of Sports Final)?

He may not be where he was 5 years ago but show me another media person in Boston right now who gets more exposure than that? And like someone else on he mentioned, he plays a large role in setting the tone.

I don't count Simmons because he's national.  He lives in LA and his work deals with a lot more than Boston stuff.  He still has a Boston flavor but a large percentage of his work lies outside Boston.

Portnoy might be the only other one in your poll who comes close to Felger and he's probably not mainstream enough yet.

Anyone who hates Felger just doesn't like listening to the truth.

Felger is one of the few voices in the Boston media that tells it like it is.

i suppose this depends on how we define king.

i voted others and would nominate peter gammons. is there anyone more respected or experienced in boston sports than him?

He makes the Mount Rushmore of Boston media. I loved reading his Sunday column.

Roy H., random question: If you were asked to go into CelticsBeat Podcast would you do it?

While it would be a lot of fun, I've got too much on my plate, unfortunately.

I meant "be a guest on", I'm a better proofreader in real life than on CB, I swear.
