I have always loved his game!!  Yes, he is having a down year from three, but that is unusual!!

Unfortunately, he would not be playoff eligible, but he could help us give Jae some rest in our last 20 games and we could get a look and see with Chase to determine if we might want to re-sign him this summer.

Thoughts?

I always ask in these threads, whose minutes do you give him?  Turner? Crowder?  No one on the team is playing that many minutes to begin with, so I just don't see the point.

Correct me if I am wrong, but he wasn't bought out before the March 1st deadline so he'd not be able to play with us in the playoffs.

Correct.  I stated that in my original post and the rationale for why to do this knowing that fact.

I've always rather liked Budinger, even if he's a marginal player.  I agree with chilidawg, though, I don't think he'd get minutes ahead of Turner, Crowder, Smart, etc.

And anyway, we already have two similarly talented 6'7ish wings sitting on the bench not getting any time.

If the Celts would consider bringing in a marginal vet like Budinger instead of getting Young or Hunter a shot, they should probably just cut Young and Hunter right now, 'cause they've got no chance of developing here.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I must have missed something but is he getting waived?

As far as I knew he was part of the bench rotation for the Pacers.
