If he can draw Durant here, awesome, give him the max, whatever it is. If it's not a Horford-Durant combo, though, yikes, a slowly but steadily declining Horford at the max for four years is scary.

He plays C for Atlanta now doesn't he? I like him much more as the center than a PF, especially with the trend to go smaller now in the league.

As far as unrestricted free agents go (not counting players who might become free agents due to a player option or ETO), Horford is easily #2 behind Durant in terms of being worthy of the max.
