@FisolaNYDN

Cleveland remains very active. Cavs in talks with Pelicans about Ryan Anderson. A 3-team deal that includes Kevin Love still in play.

sounds like there's some smoke....

Please be true. Would the Cavs really be dumb enough to give the Celtics Love? I don't know if you want to give Brad Stephens ammunition.

Because we are starting to scare them with our win record and they are worried we might be able to compete with them.

They know that Love makes every team he plays on worse, so they see it as a chance to help strengthen their gap over us?

You act like Kyrie Irving hasn't been garbage either...You do realize every player gets worse playing with Lebron right?
except that isn't true.  Last year Irving set career highs in ppg, 2PT%, 3PT%, eFG%, TS%, and PER (this year is 2PT% career high).

Irving started off the year poorly coming back from a major injury, but his last 10 games he appears to have rounded back into form (24 p, 5.5 a, 3.5 r on 53% from the field).

You're right. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt this year then. But his Real plus minus has not been good this year on both ends so that is why I assumed.

Celtics: Love
Pelicans: Sullinger, Lee's Contract, Multiple 1sts
Cavs: Gordon, Anderson

Surround Lebron with shooters if you want to a chance to beat the Warriors or Spurs. Anderson-Lebron-Gordon-Smith-Irving. Or you could go bully ball against smaller teams like the Celtics or Hawks. It really does make sense if Lebron is willing to play defense in the Draymond Green role.

Pelicans get Sullinger to play as a skilled banger next to Davis. They also can draft and grow role players instead of forcing players into roles around Davis that they don't fit.

Pelicans just takes love instead thank you very much

I want my money back

How is that deal going to get anything done. Pelicans giving up a bag of chips for Nets 1st? Puhahahaha

If BKN's first is in play, it's not going to NO for RA. Has to be going to Cavs.

It's not the Brooklyn pick as it talks about protections. WE CANNOT ADD PROTECTIONS TO THE BROOKLYN PICK

These are all good points, but it seems like you are missing the biggest point of it all. The Celtics need a scorer. And I think if Love plays in Stephen's system, he could average 20 points a game. If KO can play defense in this system, I think Love can as well. I would laugh if Clev. was dumb enough to trade Bradley and Anderson for Love. This is the same person they traded Wiggins away for.

Some food for thought...

Avery Bradley
PPG:  15.1
FG%: 44.1%
3PT%: 37.4%
FT%: 77.5%
FG% inside 3 feet: 66.4%
Age: 25
Salary: $7M/yr

Kevin Love
PPG:  15.7
FG%: 41.7%
3PT%: 36.8%
FT% 80.1%
Age: 27
Salary: $20M/yr

One of those guys:
* Is 25 years old
* Is showing signs of improvement
* Has a well documented team-first attitude with outstanding work ethic
* Is a former All-Defensive Team member
* Has 20 games of playoff experience for his career
* Has played in 76% of possible games over the past three seasons
*Is owed about $24M over the next 3 years

The other:
* Is 27 years old
* Is showing obvious signs of decline
* Has a well documented history for having a questionable attitude
* Has a reputation as a terrible defender (even though stats suggest otherwise)
* Has a played in 69% of possible games the past three years
* Has 4 games of playoff experience for his career
* Is owed about $110M over the next 5 years

You still want to make that deal?

Thoughts?

why would you use those stats for love though ?

The last time he was #1 option he put up 26/13

He would clearly be the # 1 option here . You can't say that his stats in cle would be the same as in Boston

Eh. I think Bradley is a product of Stephen's system. Love and both Bradley are shooting around the same 3 pt. %. I mean those stats don't really tell me much except Love is averaging 16 on a team with Lebron and Irving while Bradley is on a team hungry for a scorer. I'm just using my eyes and they tell me Love is a better player. If he is traded to Boston, his production will prove it.

Some people believe this could be true. My brain is bleeding.

The specifics that have been named don't fully make sense, particularly on the N.O. end, but we now have what - 4 sources all saying Cleveland's discussing a 3 team deal where they get Anderson and likely move Love?  With at least one that says we're the 3rd team, plus the repeated reports over 2 seasons saying Danny wants Love in green?  I think it's more plausible that something along these lines is being discussed than most rumors are.

I could see NOP taking back Sully, Jerebko and a Boston 1st.

Anderson & Bradley to the Cavs.  Maybe a pick.

We get Love.

Can you give some specifics?  Initial reports from Clark, Isola, Amico, and Spears have shown up in the thread.  Anything on top of this?

I think if we are trading Bradley and the BRK 1st, then we must be getting back something else along with Love. My guess is Love and Gordon to Boston if this is true. Cavs get Anderson and Bradley, Pelicans get cap relief and picks.
