That's NOT what it says... only the click bait title which is disingienous.

This is the truth of it:

"Boston Celtics have emerged as one of the favorites"

Of course... IF Atlanta decides to move him.

Nothing meaningful here.

It's A Sherrod so Take it FWIW.........

Quote
The Boston Celtics are the favorites to trade for Al Horford if the Atlanta Hawks decide to make a trade before the deadline.

Horford is in the final season of a five-year, $60 million deal. Horford will turn 30 in June and wants to sign a five-year deal instead of a four-year one that he'd be forced to sign if he were to leave the team he ends up with at the end of this season.

Horford was asked about the trade rumors during All-Star weekend.

“For me, I ask for guidance but at the end of the day I understand the business of everything,” Horford said at the time. “I know how everything works. For me, I need to stay diligent, keep doing what I do and whatever happens, happens.”

Yeah I noticed it said ONE OF THE favorites in the article.

I do think they will come down on their asking price by tomorrow and he could be had for Amir plus the Dallas pick. They at least get something for him before he leaves via free agency.

Wow. What a reporter. What a story. This guy is amazing. Why doesn't he just pull ideas from Celtics Blog trade ideas and rumors, it would be more insightful.

You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Poor Sherrod, this is always a rough time of the year for him.

That said, considering we've heard nothing in the past couple days on the C's trade rumor front, I almost feel like something is gonna happen. Ainge normally goes quiet if something is really in a late negotiation phase. Seems to me like we could make a good, competitive offer without really hurting our core AND keeping the Brooklyn pick

When it comes down towards the deadline, and the Hawks are mulling the offers, can they do better than something like:

Lee, Sullinger, Rozier and our own 1st?

Or Amir, Zeller, our own 1st and the Minny pick?

Idk if they can. And to be honest, as long as it doesn't involve Smart/Crowder/Thomas/AB/Kelly I'd prob beef up those offers a bit too, though Amir and Sully, your either getting another big off the bench who can rebound or you really think Mickey can come in and make an impact.

If I'm Ainge, I'm trying my darnedest to pry Horford out of there. He's a really good player who fits this team well, would likely re-sign and maybe he wouldn't take a ton to get. Add him to this team and they've got a solid chance at making the ECF and from there you never know. A team that makes it to the conference finals that's this young and has a top-5 pick to use, on top of a rising star for a head coach, is going to attract attention from guys looking to move.
