Reports that Rudy Gay wants out of Sacramento.

Not sure what it would take to get him.  Lee + pick(s) (obviously not the Brooklyn ones) for Gay?  Throw in a big (Sully?) that could play next to Cousins?

I would not mind adding another scorer on a reasonable contract if the price was right.  Could be a great buy low opportunity for the C's!

Gay's teams have a habit of improving after he leaves.  No thanks.

There was a trade rumor going on out here in Chicago that centered around the Bulls sending Noah, Snell, Mirotic, &  1st rounder to SAC for Gay & McLemore.

So pretty much Gay for Mirotic? Mirotic has really been up and down this season, and his up is pretty much Rudy Gay. But I assume with the Kings going nowhere they may as well run the dice. Gay is what he is.

I think Gay could actually be pretty good on this Celts team, but I think they'd need to first add a big man to give them some more two-way presence down low, so that Gay could play at the 4.

If we can do it for Lee and some insignificant picks then why not?? Crowder can play the 2 guard because he's extremely versatile and he's originally 6'6". We can move Bradley to the bench and pair him up with Marcus Smart to form a nasty backup 1-2 combo coming off the bench. We add someone who scores 15 a night and if he struggles we can bring him off the bench.

PG: Isaiah Thomas
SG: Jae Crowder
SF: Rudy Gay
PF: Amir Johnson
C: Jared Sullinger

Work a three-way trade with Sacramento and Cleveland to get Kevin love here? Anyone? Sacramento has what Cleveland wants for a hypothetical deal for Kevin Love. Rudy Gay, Kosta Koufos, Marco Belinelli. Celtics could get in there to swoop in for Love.

intriguing.

what would you propose going to Sac for this?  I'd imagine they'd probably want Sully/KO/Zeller, Lee (for salary purposes), 2 of Young/Rozier/Hunter and probably 2 firsts (probably 2016 Bos and Dallas).

so, just for kicks, Sully, Lee, Young, Rozier and the 2 firsts this year for Love?  probably worth considering if that's what you had in mind  (not that you said any of it).
