I think that trade tells you that Tobias Harris could be had. Skiles wanted some vets back and got Jennings and Ilyasova. I think Danny could have made an competitive offer, so IMO he didn't want Harris.

Yep. Danny's interest in Harris never seems to have existed. Many of we fans wanted him, but Danny apparently didn't make him an offer in the offseason and pretty clearly didn't want him today.

Protections have to work out right for us, but it has a good shot to be great.

I really like the idea of this trade.

The Memphis pick is pretty heavily protected though, no? As in, we don't have a legit shot to get it as a top 10 pick until like 2020, or am I wrong?

So if that's the case, the memphis pick is more valuable to Memphis than to us, as in trading it back to them.

I think if we offer their 2017 first rounder back, they take this trade.

As far as Houston, I'm guessing they want a little more than just Lee/Sully. I think those two, plus our 2016 1st rounder, and the top 2016 2nd rounder, should be solid enough to land Howard for a 2nd half rental (worst case), and if he comes alive, we sign him to a 2 year near-max deal (assuming he produces), as to protect our future cap-flexibility. If he sucks, well he's either gone, or he enjoys playing here, and re-signs on a lower deal.

I don't understand why on earth we would want Z-Bo at this point in his career.

He's already declined in a huge way, and it's only going to get worse.

I'll do the proposed deal for Dwight alone, but Z-Bo really doesn't interest me a whole lot, nor does Green.  I'd rather just trade for Dwight straight up.
