Favors is everything we want in a big man. Defense, offense, age and attitude. Jazz have Lyles and Gobert developing and are a .500 team. They are in the C's position last year. They should deal Favors and Tank it. Yet the cost is big to get him

KO, Sully, Hunter, Rozier, Dallas 1st and 2018 Nets 1st for Favors and fillers.

Yikes, that is essentially six first rounders for Favors (if you include KO and Sully; Rozier and Hunter are still fresh off the draft). I very much like Favors and would be psyched if he were on the Cs, but it seems like we are giving away quite a bit (not a fan of the 2018 pick being included). I am not sure if Utah wants that much 'quantity' either.

Yeah no team wants quantity but usually if you are a seller you always get stuck with the quantity end. Jazz aren't buyers given their players situations and assets. So if selling why not land the most positive prospects and picks possible.

I doubt the Jazz want to go into tank mode. They've just won 8 out of there last 10 and got a shot at the playoff. Favors is decent and still young but I think he's hit his ceiling.

I would totally go for Favors and could see a BKN pick being involved, but it would probably include a salary filler like Lee and maybe one or two of Young, Rozier, KO, or Hunter - not all of them. Danny isn't a trade the farm kind-of guy.

Favors won't worth it
Sully+Lee and 2 1st is enough

Agree, but not the Brooklyn picks.

I'd offer our picks, two 1st from Boston along with players should suffice. The Brooklyn picks have the potential to be #1 in the next three years. I like Favors, a lot, but we should not give up those just for him. Those are reserved for all-star caliber players.

SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

That's how I would value him also.

Favors is a stud. He can block shots, rebound, score, run the floor, hes young and he is on a great contract.

That being said, Utah is not going to find a better nucleus than the one they have now.

Id put my money on them hoping the
Exum
Hood
Hayward
Favors
Gobert

nucleus develops into a contender.

If there's one thing that you can say about Ainge, it's that he's not a guy who's going to overpay much.

The only example I know of him overpaying is the un-accomplished Charlotte deal and even then, your talking about trading a handful of mid-late 1sts for a guy in Winslow whom the C's probably had on the top 5 of their board.

If Utah wanted Brooklyn picks for Favors (they probably would, I know I would), DA probably wouldn't trade for Favors.

Favors would definitely be nice to have at the Center spot! Delivers exactly what we need in terms of rebounding and defense.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
