I'd feel so bad for Smart in that situation. Granted, having Smart + RHJ on the perimeter would be the beginnings of one hell of a defense for them.
How desperate for young talent do you think Brooklyn is? I'm not giving them Smart in any scenario, but do you think any kind of package of Lee, Sully/KO, Rozier, Young, Hunter, and Mickey and a non-Brooklyn pick (not all of these guys but some kind of package with some/most of them) would do it for them for Lopez?
I mean, I'm sure they could find a better deal with at least one better prospect/player elsewhere, but this might be one type of scenario where a quality for quantity trade might make sense for them. Most of those young guys still have significant upside, and if developed correctly they could eventually form a nice core around some higher-ceiling players or stars.
