Turner is a gamer....I would argue that one of the reasons his 3point% is so low--is that he hardly ever takes them--and when he does, a lot of them come at the the end of the shot clock/desperation shot.

Figures that he is at his all time C's value, right when his contract is ending (am I wrong ?)

Hard to believe that he was the odd man out before the season started.

.....or right at the trade deadline, depends on how you look at it. ;)

That being said, I've been a big ET guy, and would like to continue to root for him. If he gets traded, I won't be able to. (It IS about the laundry, you know.)

The big difference for me is his improvement on the defensive end. Last year I thought he was atrocious but this year he's actually been a plus defender most of the time.

He stopped taking those stupid 3īs.

Like Tommy said, he can see the blue sky from the middle of a thunderstorm when going to the rim.

+ He can out dribble anyone going there.

I agree and think he can be a solid contributer on a title team

Hes Paul Pierce minus the jumper.

Unfortunately thats the difference between an all-time great and a nice player

I have always thought that Turner, while at times effective, made stupid plays during critical moments.  A turnover here, another bad pass there...  Plus, whenever he would shoot a 3, I would yell at the TV, knowing it was not going in.

But, I have to admit his recent performances in the 4th quarters, and again in OT, have me thinking I want him to stay around.

What do you think?

It's not just "recent" performances.   He was clutch for us especially the second half of last year.  In the second half last year I remember reading he had the second most triple doubles after Westbrook, or maybe it was at least 10, 5, and 5 games.  Either way it speaks to his versatility and it has continued this year.  So it's really been the last year since Stevens has found best how to utilize him.

Also yes he has no 3 point shot, but some poor 3 point shooters early on in their careers have become decent later on such as Jason Kidd.  He is still 26,27 so there could be room for more refinement in his game.  Unless if you get a clear upgrade I think it could be tough to move on from him.  The extra ball handler really helps us.

Tommy was talking about Sullinger when he said that but I remember thinking - I feel like Tommy thought that was Evan.

You are wrong...arguably he was at his most valuable last year when he was starting.

Guy is super versatile, big, and a good defender.

I would argue his terrible form is why his 3pt % is so low.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

exactly

funny thing is he can make the more difficult mid air/body twist than the easier spot up jump shots

lets not forget he was the #2 pick overall also

talented

just a consistent jump shot or above average explosiveness away from being an all star

prob can't develop #2 but still has a small window to become a better shooter

He does have a good mid range jumper, but certainly not a 3.  I'd think, given his midrange game and good free throw percentage that there's a reasonable chance he develops a 3 point game.
