Boston Celtics big man Kelly Olynyk injured his right shoulder late in the first half of Wednesday's game and did not return. Said coach Brad Stevens: "The only thing that I was told was that he subluxed his shoulder and went to New England Baptist Hospital for X-rays."

There goes the Horford deal.

I dont know if it stops Atlanta from making that deal. They want young talent that can develop in the future and arent nescessarily paying attention to the now. Celtics can just throw in another pick.

Ainge to @Toucherandrich: Kelly Olynyk's MRI came back as a bruised shoulder. "He should be ready to go after the All-Star break."

Just listened to this live on the Radio, Danny Ainge said he saw the MRI last night and to his understanding it was just a bruise. He actually shot down the notion that it was a subluxation by saying "well I haven't heard that."

Good news.
A week off at just the right time.

crowder should be fully healed and KO should be close when we return to action.

Man this team is giving us a fun ride.

Let's keep it flowing after ASB

See even if he was invited to the 3 point contest, he wouldn't be able to compete.  The basketball gods knew what they were doing!

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I certainly hope so re: Crowder. Playing with an intensity on such an injury is more likely to make it chronic and not heal-able until the off-season, though  the chances are his situation isn't that bad at this point.

Very true. Smart had the same high-ankle sprain type injury last year, only it was obviously more severe.

It's not a trifling thing and hopefully Crowder gets back to 100% physically soon, but it's definitely not something to screw with.

God is so good to the Celts.

Yes, they did, but it had nothing to do with the 3 point contest.  This was payback for him injuring Love.  Not as severe as Love's injury because there was no obvious intent to injure, but just a warning by the basketball God's to avoid those kind of cheap plays ;-)

BTW, separate topic, but anybody who wants Love and his fragile body is not seeing the same player I'm seeing.  The C's are tough scrappy players.  That's our culture.  Love is anything but that.  I was SHOCKED he got hurt when Smart put a hip into him ever so slighly.
