Per Hoopshype (quoting a Spanish newspaper) :

Quote
The Boston Celtics are closely monitoring Mindaugas Kuzminskas. They have contacted his agents already and are thinking about adding him to the team’s roster for the 2016-16 season.

There’s also some interest in Kuzminskas from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Kuzminskas is a 6-8, 26 years old Lithuanian small forward currently playing in Spain, who had great games in the Euroleague in the past years.

Interesting tidbit regarding our small forward rotation : does it mean than Evan Turner is definitely gone this summer, and what does it say for James Young's place in the future?

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I've seen a few clips, and he would certainly fit in our system.

I don't think Evan Turner is getting re-signed. I think his play this team will desperately fill the holes most teams needs, a second string back up point guard that can switch on defense, make mid range shots, and be able to finish or create for others. While hes limited defensively, he's still doing pretty well from my eye test in terms of effort.

Also Ainge is knowing for signing players on lucrative contracts that benefits the team without strangling our cap space.

I can see him getting what ET got, but with more vested team or player options.

It would be worth it just to hear Tommy learn to pronounce his name.

On a more serious note, I've long stated that the Cs greatest failure in the front office has been their (complete lack of) international scouting. It'd be interesting to see if they could identify a rights-cleared talent and successfully transition that player to the NBA.

I remember watching him in the Euro Cup last summer and being impressed with his
play.

My recollection is that he's a long, active, athletic wing.  More Jan Vesely than Gigi Datome in his style of play.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Looks like a scoring specialist. Nice stroke, some mid-range game, occasional dunk. Doesn't look like he does too well in other facets of the game.

Don't think it means a thing in terms of current roster players.  If he's good, Danny is going after him, that's all.  There's lots of time to decide about ET's fate.

His one of the best offensive rebounders in Euroleague last year. Favors the baseline for cuts and backdoor baskets.

I think this is a post-Jonas move, it it happens.

What makes them mutually exclusive? That they're Euros?

NBA is dominated by shooting these days. Keep finding shooters...

Not a very exciting player. Pretty mediocre stats against mediocre competition. Not really a good shooter - .316 career from 3. Efficient from inside the arc - career .579 2p%. Career 8ppg on 16.7mpg. He has totally disappeared in his 15 career playoff games - 64pts in 223 minutes on a .327eFG.  Not a plus athlete, and possibly a liability on D.

I'd much rather hold onto either Turner or Jerebko.

My fault, i shouldve elaborated.
As from what everyone has stated, he's a good scorer/shooter that crashes the board. Adjust for NBA level competition, and that's basically Jonas.
The other commonality is their size. Boston is likely betting that he would play the small-ball 4 as well as Jonas does.
Lastly, Jonas only has another year left at 5 million and is currently a salary filler in any possible trade; it's a lot cheaper to pay a new Euro player for more years after Jonas leaves.
