Would you trade the number 2 pick in this years draft for Paul George?
How about the number 1?

What other enticements would we need to add to get Larry to bite?

i dont know what indiana's short term plan is, and that is crucial.

are they planning to strip the team down and rebuild? if not, then i dont see why they would trade a current, proven player that helps the team for someone that would really help them in a year or two...maybe three.

if they were already in rebuild mode, then this makes a lot more sense.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I would absolutely make that trade and I'm one of the people on here who shoots down every trade idea for it.  Paul George being coached by Stevens would be ridic

Of course, it's a no-brainer. Ditto if it were the #1 pick, too. George is 25, a top 5-10 player, a two-way force. The only downside is that he's only signed for two more years. But we'd be instant championship contenders. Why on earth would anyone say no?

I'm with Dino. 25 years old, perennial allstar and legitimate MVP candidate, that is a no brainer. I think you trade the #1 for PG13 too. For me, he's one of about 4 guys I'd trade that pick for:

Anthony Davis
Kawhi Leonard
Paul George
Kyrie Irving

You think about it for:

Klay Thompson
Jimmy Butler
Damian Lillard

But the one thing those guys have in common is that they are world class players on long term deals. Trading the pick for 1 year of Curry or Westbrook, or the possibility of resigning Durant doesn't make sense. It would have to be for a guy who is going to play here for a few years.

So yeah, I'd take George for the #1 or #2 pick. I doubt Indiana does this though.

As a small-ball four, we're borderline contenders with George. You add a Horford or something like that next to him, and we're a top-3 team in the league I think. This lineup could win the title, in my opinion:
PG: IT, Turner
SG: Smart, Bradley
SF: Crowder, JJ
PF: George, KO
C: Horford, Zeller

Also, you'd have to think we'd get even better defensively by replacing Sullinger and Amir with George and Horford, so that team would be absolutely ridiculous on both sides of the floor, especially offensively with as much shooting and space you provide IT, Smart, and George to penetrate the lane with.

I doubt the pacers are making this trade unless it's for Smart and the Nets pick. Unless its the first pick, which Ainge would never trade.

Getting someone like George is not going to be cheap.

Yes, I would happily do that. Paul George one of the top 5 players in the league right now.

I think Indiana would need more unless P.George tries to force his way out of there in which case that offer would likely be the best on the table. I think Boston would need to include another 1-2 future first rounders (non-lotto picks) and a low value player.

so 2016 nets pick, one or both of dallas/ boston 2016 pick, young and filler?
i'd do that in a heartbeat.

But I think it would take a lot more

It's hard to construct a trade for a player that another team is not going to trade but it probably would be all three of our Nets picks, Dallas 2016, and Celtics 2016. It also would include Crowder. This would give Indiana a total rebuild around Turner and Crowder. We would challenge for the Eastern Conference title.

I'd trade every Brooklyn pick for PG13. Guy is a game changer, you don't pass him up if he becomes available.

Id say yes to this on the condition that IT, Smart, and Crowder are not included and we keep the memphis pick.
