BOS gets: Henson, Mayo, Vasquez
NOP gets: Sullinger, Lee, Carter-Williams
MIL gets: Holliday, Anderson, Young

To me, Cs seem most likely to say 'no' here, but I do this deal all day.

I understand Henson but why would we want mayo and Vasquez
When we already have a logjam in our back court

I like Henson. This could be the next Isaiah/Jae type of acquisition, where a sneakily useful player is plucked from relative obscurity and finally maximized.

Mayo would pack a nice scoring punch off the bench.
Vazquez would be a legit backup PG in short bursts.

But it's all about Henson.

Vasquez is renounced the day the season ends. Mayo can still score in the NBA -- nice option off the bench, and Ainge has always liked him. See how he does.... most likely gone after the year, but could be signed as a bench player depending on other moves.

But this is about getting Henson -- one of the league's most underrated players who would be an excellent fit on the Cs.

I put this in the other MIL thread. I love Henson on the Celtics.  He has a Poison Pill if traded because of the extension he signed, so you have to throw in contracts on both sides.

I proposed Henson with Vasquez/Mayo/Bayless for Lee, Sullinger, Young, and Turner.

Henson would be a great fit at center. The Bucks are using him as a backup at center behind Monroe. The only reason they do the trade is if they dont want to pay him $11 mil per year to be a backup. They get a rental on Sullinger and see if they want to extend him.

With the exploding cap, even if Henson were the backup center here, 11 million would wind up being the market rate for that within a year or two. If he played starters' minutes, it'd be a bargain.

MIL doesn't get enough in this deal. Getting him needs to be part of a bigger shake-up in MIL, IMO.

Milwaukee would also get a draft pick, but yeah it might not be enough.

I dont think New Orleans gives up Holiday and Anderson in the original idea.

Henson is 25 and lets be honest here...if he is given more time he will produce, especially with 4's that stretch the floor. The 11mil a year right now is possibly a negative, but IMO if he is given time he will produce. Then that 11m a year will look like a huge underpayment and great contract.
