I'm a fan but I'm not sure I would be willing to give up enough to get him. I wouldn't want to trade Crowder, Bradley, Smart, THomas or Olynyk.

Trading Sullinger in a package for him works value wise but it probably makes us worse because we don't have anyone to consistently defend NBA 5's.

Amir is a veteran presence, but I doubt Amir, Turner and picks is close to enough for Harris.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

The Magic seem to want veterans, but I'm not sure that we have what they want. Doubt Lee or Johnson would do it. Sully?..seasoned?

Maybe a 3-way with another team.

Magic have a lot of wings. Maybe they feel given that glut that they overpaid for Harris and want out?

Maybe an Evan for Evan swap?  They're going to have to let Fournier walk, and Turner has a bit more seasoning.  Although I'm not sure what that move does for us, even as a fan of Fournier.

"Evan for Evan ?"... Clever! TP.

I too like Fournier. Man did he look good against us last time! They're both due for a payday, and ET does give them seasoning and EF would give us shooting. But, Would hate to give up on ET now and mess with our chemistry, as I think that he's a big part of it.

Plus, maybe Magic want to dump Harris so they can get an asset (s) and pay Fournier?

He's a 3/4, what Brad calls a swing.  So Jerebko and Crowder's position.

Thanks saltlover.

So Crowder goes to the bench?  Or Harris comes off the bench?

Neither. You play them together.

There's no way Orlando would do that straight up.  Fournier is a better player, he's 4 years younger, and he's going to be a restricted free agent while ET is unrestricted.  He's also the only one of their glut of wings that's a plus shooter, so trading him for another wing that can't make 3's probably makes them worse even if Turner is more seasoned.  That said, I'd be happy to trade Turner as part of a package for Fournier.

If you played them next to each other who would you start at the 5? Does Amir provide enough rebounding? Does Sully provide enough rim protection?

Ideally, you'd probably want to upgrade the 5 as well at some point.

In terms of current personnel, I think you mix and match based on opposition/situation. Amir for more defense; Sully or Olynyk for more offense/spacing.

They'd play together at times and separately others.  Jerebko and Olynyk would probably see the greatest reduction in minutes (assuming either or both are still on the team).

No thanks....we already suffered through the frustration that was Jeff Green...Harris would be the same thing....we need a guy more like Derozan---someone with a killer instinct....it aint Harris.

I really wanted Harris on the Cs this off season. That was figuring he would be the starting SF with Crowder coming off the bench. With the rise of Crowder Im not sure the fit is still there. As a starting pair Crowder and Harris would really struggle against conventional starting PFs. The other problem I see is that the Cs cant really put together a package that benefits the Magic. They are a team with to much depth that similar to the Cs ultimately needs to cash in for a Star. I would really watch the Magic as a Cousins destination. If they decide to trade cousins a package built around Vucevic and Harris and this years pick may be a good starting point for the Kings.

Orlando seems like Milwaukee South to me. Another roster of young, long, bouncy types with few shooters. Roster poorly constructed, mostly a collection of assets.

GM Hennigan needs to make a move to consolidate some talent, figure out the core, and move the other parts for more complementary pieces.

Agreed - they have guys like Gordon, Oladipo, Harris, and Peyton...all predominantly slashing/driving athletic guards and wings, not great shooters, playing with paint presence like Vucevic who they should be building the whole franchise around.

Personally I would move Peyton or Oladipo with Harris and try to score big in a trade.
