Go ahead. Tell me how CBS isn't the best coach in the league.

Pop and Carlisle and probably Budenholzer. Maybe Casey.

I think hes top 5.

Behind pop right now. Carlisle is also probably better, but Id take Brad over anyone but Pop.

Only other coaches I'd want are Pop, Carlisle, maybe Bud. Kerr is intriguing but seeing that Walton had the same team undefeated it's unknown how good he is, as he might be more of a product of his team. Yeah Stevens is top 3-5

Well, you gotta give the team a lot of credit too.  They are playing much more together, much like last season.

If Doc were here it'd be small ball all the time and he'd have David Lee starting at center

I'm not sure he wouldn't have given him away for free

You're aware that Stevens is kinda small ball all the time right?

Tom Heinsohn.

We'd be doing a lot more running.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

He does his fair share of it, but no more than that. Plus when your top 4 players are small it's a little different

It's still a was to go in the season, but if they keep this up and finish 3rd or 2nd in the east, I think Stevens has to be in serious consideration for COY.

Kerr's job with GSW isn't super impressive considering Walton was in charge for a bulk of it, so it just shows how talented they are even a caveman could coach them.

Pop has his A team still added LA to that mix.

Lue wont get it, heck they could drop to the second seed if they aren't careful.

Casey could give Steven a run for his money, not the best roster in the top teams, but getting it done.

Donavan is doing well in the West, but he also has Westbrook and Durant, so Caveman again.

So Casey and Stevens are getting more out of this team than most coaches would. Hopefully they get recognized for it in some way.

So do we still think Pops is the best coach in the league?

Here's a question. You trade Pops and CBS straight up and what do you suppose happens?

I'll go one better - best coach period at any level.

He got Butler to the championship game twice - once with a team that probably had no business being there.  The other time his team came within a desperation heave of winning the national title.  All his rotation players improve under his coaching.  The only thing he hasn't done yet is coach a superstar.  That will happen eventually and he'll do fine.
