The other thread suggested to trade Crowder for Winslow now this? Sam Hinkie, is that you?
How is this trade proposal comparable to the Crowder for Winslow?  ::)

Apparently it's trading proven players for potential aka tanking.
Ok but Hood will never come close to IT4. And Winslow can be much better than Crowder. One is worth the gamble and the other is just silly.

The Celtics definitely say no. I am still a little upset Danny didn't take Hood over Young in the 2014 draft, but there is no reason to trade our best player on a great contract for two guys who will only make our rotations more confusing. This is the opposite of consolidating our roster.

Sorry if I am coming off harsh - difficult to emote correctly with written words.

How are you upset ? Hood doesn't see minutes over Crowder or Turner, IMO. What say you ?

If you trade him now you'd be selling low because he hasn't peaked as a player yet.  He's still improving.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Good idea.

Most people can't accept the notion that we aren't winning any championships with Isaiah Thomas as our go to guy with his 30% usage rate.

The truth is that by the time we develop a championship team, IT probably won't be here because his bargain contract will be up.

IT is awesome but as soon as we get some better players here, his usage plummets and so does his effectiveness on offense vs his defensive liabilities.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

He's inefficient right now because he's the main option. If you get better players, he's no longer the primary focus of the offense. If anything, he's more efficient and helpful.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

This trade brings us further back to winning a championship, it in no way brings us closer
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

agree , why trade away a talent like IT on a huge bargain contract ? same with ab and crowder . Unless you are getting back a Griffin, Cousins or Dwight type .

Their cheap contracts will allow us to go after 2 max contracts while having a #3 seed in place already .

PLUS

Atop 5 pick next year ( maybe 3 straight years?)
