Feels like we have a little Euro-bias going on here. Bender should benefit from the Zinger's rise throughout the year, despite some hesitations pre-draft. Of course, for every Zinger (good player in a good situation) there's a Milicic (potentially good player, poor situation).

Also I'm going to bring this back in a year or two. Buyer Beware.

Lol. Shades of JaJuan Johnson  >:(
Bender isn't an out of nowhere European prospect. He's been on the NBA radar since he was 15 years old. I had heard of Bender before I did Porzingis. I think this makes him a lot different than Darko. He could be a bust just like anyone could, but Bender isn't a mystery man to suddenly burst on the scene and he's been listed near the top of this draft since mock drafts for 2016 have started to be published.

1. Simmons
2. Ingram
3. Bender
4. Brown
5. Ellenson

I was waffling on Simmons for a while, but I think it is over analysis. He's been NBA ready for 2 1/2 years.

I think I am going to check out Dunn in person on the 17th.   Will let you know then, if I do.

Ben Simmons but I don't blame guys like Mike Schmitz of Draft Express for having Ingram ranked higher. If you have a criteria for how to evaluate prospects you'd be disingenuous not to follow it because one guy is more hyped or playing better in the NCAA. It's not hard to see how Ingram will fit into an NBA rotation, with Simmons he might need to find the right situation to get the most out of his game.

That being said Ben Simmons would just be such an awesome fit for this team, exactly the kind of player that could come in and have an immediate impact. We don't have anyone even close to his skill set.

Ben Simmons, no pressure.

He's already a dynamic player while being still being a bit raw. The potential for this kid is out of this world, and he looks like he could already contribute from the get go.

You pick Simmons, no if's, and's or but's.

Don't care if he can contribute right away -- his ceiling is more important.

He needs to prove he can shoot the ball. You can't use the first pick in the draft on a SF who can't make a jumper. And he looks real shaky outside the paint right now.

The question is: can he learn / adjust enough to be a passable 3-point shooter?
