Yes, I really like him too. I wanted him at the draft.

But , Indy will not be trading him for any reasonable package.

They will be asking for the moon.

Bill Simmons sums it up pretty well:

But hey, at least we got the experience of 4 playoff games.  Yay.

(For the record, I was on board with the playoff push too despite knowing we were losing out on a good prospect and we were getting swept)

Turner was pretty dominant in Summer league.  FWIW, Jordan Mickey was pretty outstanding in Summer League as well.  Of all our rookies, he's the one that has me a little intrigued.

Really, it comes down to the fact that we won 2 more games than the Pacers.   We won 40 games last year.

The Nets finished with the same exact record as the Pacers (38-44).   Nets made the playoffs and their pick (#15 - Kelly Oubre) went to the Hawks (later traded to the Wizards).   Meanwhile, the Pacers missed the playoffs and ended up picking #11... Myles Turner.   Same record... 4 pick difference between making and missing the playoffs.   Meanwhile the Heat finished with 37 wins and picked 10th - Winslow.   Hornets tanked the last 6 games of the season and ended up with the 9th pick... which put them in position to turn down 6 draft picks (4 first rounders) from Boston when we tried to move up from #16.   Last two weeks of the season sure made an impact.

But who knows... maybe Rozier will be a player.

A bit late to pine for Turner, no?  Larry is not giving him up.

Stanley Johnson and Myles Turner were my draft Binkies, would have been thrilled with either one.

I love his game.  Young stud!  BUT I don't think Mr Bird will be trading him for much of anything except an exceptional deal to the pacers good.
Noel is the guy I'd like to get and I think it's not crazy.  We can trade known commodities, picks and prospects.  I'd; semi overpay for him.  Think his defense, rebounding, athleticism and YOUTH would be key for our team in the future.  Noel could be 5th option on offense and still get 10 pts off rebounds and pick and rolls.  Love his steals and block shots.  Kids still developing, Okafor is the far superior offensive player but Noel with our team interests me greatly.
