Kelly, on the other hand, I just don't know . . . He's been scaring me lately.
I know I should tone back my excitement. I really should.

Kelly has looked good lately, but Brad continues to seem content to let Kelly stay right around 20 minutes a game or less.

I don't really understand, but I'm guessing there's a reason for that.

I know the answer to this one:

1).  Despite Kelly's basketball genius, he still has too much of a tendency to play "soft" as a low post defender and defensive rebounder.

2).  He has a tendency to start to "think" too much out there.  I think this is what Avery Bradley was talking about recently.

I don't think he was talking about "thinking" the game--which Kelly excels at--but rather it often appears that he starts to overthink how he's doing out there and then his insecurities come through.
Just play, Kelly.

The good news for me is that Kelly's issues all seem to be mental, and I think they are issues that he can continue to improve on as he becomes a more seasoned pro.  The skills are there.

This is the second place I've seen this so I will call out the ignorance. KO and Galo are completely different players. You compare them because they are both white. While KO has been great as of late Galo is a far superior offensive player and exactly what this team needs. Galo can get too the line and create on his own and can get too the line. He has more FT attempts then IT2 and more then 3 times as many as KO. So just cause he's white and over 6-5 doesn't mean he's remotely the Same player as Kelly.

Please no Gallinari .

Keep ball n KO.

You're right and I don't know why people automatically assume that. Against GSW, he was literally unstoppable. He went to the line around 20 times and was unguardable.

I wonder if you will feel this way when he does his next disappearing act.

The kid unlike Sully, has worked hard on his body and strength.   He seems more agile, stronger and faster.  I think he needs to get more consistent, but he is a keeper.

Have I?  I been one of his biggest supporters regardless

It takes time for things to "click".   KO was respecting the vets too much in his first 2 years in the league.

Trade Bait!

Seriously, the only thing this is doing more than anything is another carrot for Ainge to dangle if he sees something he really likes.

No one wants to trade for expiring deals, particularly on how costly they'll be.

Bradley, Olynyk, and Smart are the most likely trade baits we'll have.

just like to point out that KO is still passing up shots that lead to others on the team forced to take bad shots.

last night he was wide open at the top of the paint and an Orlando player came rushing at him with not much of a chance of making a play to effect KO, but KO didn't force it and ended up being a waste of a possession.

he's playing better but it's plays like this that still urk me about KO.

he has improved on this aspect of his game

you can't question what he did in the 4th quarter to seal the deal

+25.  That is tops

There are only a handful of players I would trade KO or Smart for

and that does not include Love.

Butler, Draymond Green are 2 players though I would trade KO or Smart For

not Love , Carmelo Anthony etc

I don't think so. I see guys like Smart and Olynyk as part of the core for the future and possibly the next title contender. You need your young core to develop. You can't just trade players when they look good. Chemistry is important. Olly is finding his niche. And it's great to watch. Bradley may go if Rozier or Hunter start emerging more often.

I agree

The team is one stud player away from going far into the player
