@smartacus. Haha such a fitting name for a bball nerd.

Oh yeah?! COUNTLESS TRADES? get real dude, this isn't Association mode in 2k

Go ahead and throw some of your ideas out there and I'll knock em down

Look man call me what ya like, personally I'd call some one who get's worked up about discussions they see on the internet pretty nerdy themselves.

Go ahead and shake things up, you seem to think your special but I've seen your type before. Your a flash in the pan bro, people like you typically come in here and think they'll stir everything up and gather a following but they get bored and quit posting after a while because they run out of things to whine about.

OP is right but is being too wishy-washy about it.  The fact is that not only will no trade possibly improve this team, but no trade has improved any team ever.

Find one example, I dare you.  You can't, because quote all the dork stats you want like winning percentage and championships, you can't get around the fact that if a trade improved a "team", they were obviously never a team to begin with.  Checkmate, nerds.  Better luck trying out for the Bing Bong Theory.

@smartacus You didn't follow through on providing some examples of trades...real bummer
 :'(

Anyway, no need to be so calculated in your responses, it's a sports forum. A medium in which fans of all IQ level can co-exist.  Relax your sphincter for a little bit and understand that there are no trades to be had.

I only care about the Celtics...and there's no trade out there that puts you in a better position then you are now.  Stop gambling with players and just make good on your draft pick.

you don't even need stats to see that...which is my overall point.

@ayer I think Ariza would be a great Celtic.  Be a pain in the ass to Lebron if we play him in the Playoffs and his deal would totally be worth it

I'll give you two trade.

Didn't win the title the year it happened but it got them to the finals.
2007-08 Pau Gasol traded to the Lakers.  Then helped them win 2 championships.

Rasheed Wallace 2004 mid-season trade and helped the Pistons win a title.  So it wasn't checkmate.  Plus this was just since 2000.  So before you trash talk you better back it up.

Sorry, neither one of those were teams before the trade.  If they were, than why did a trade improve them?  Better luck next time.

@foulweather is the same guy that grew up in a household where speaking in slang terms was very frowned upon
