What does everyone think about this fight? Can McGregor make the MMA analysts look bad again and win another fight he's not suppose to? And will Aldo be able to get McGregor off his feet and exploit his lack of ground game?

I hope Aldo wins cause Connor is a jerk, although an entertaining jerk. Connor is a great fighter. If Aldo lands those kicks he wins.

It's probably because I'm more of a casual fan of the UFC, but I enjoy the craziness McGregor brings to these fights. He's just fun to watch. Hoping he keeps winning.

I honestly had no idea who either of these guys were when looking at the thread in the 'Latest Forum Topics' section. I am glad CB has something for everyone - even outside of the Celtics.

I'm the same way. I can't stand Connor. I hope Aldo breaks his legs with those ridiculous leg kicks.

First fight in a while I was shocked. Connor's trash talk worked. He got a good fighter mad and overly aggressive, and it cost him the fight.

Isn't that how Aldo fights anyways?

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
sucks that it went so quickly. Knocking him out was really McGregor's only chance at a win.

Hopefully they have a rematch because I'd love to see McGregor handle a world class grappler for a few rounds.

The Rockhold/Weidman fight was awesome.

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I follow on and off, more of a long-tiem boxing fan, but is McGregor that good? Seems like reports suggest he's overhyped, but didn't he get off to a crazy fast start and keeps going?

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I know we're not allowed to curse, but I really want to.

Holy Lord, that was one perfectly placed counter punch.

Yeah. Agree on all points.

Weidman paid for a mistake he made, dearly. And to an extent so did Aldo.

But I want a McGregor vs Aldo rematch. Aldo is the P4P best fighter, and McGregor is as cocky (with results) as it could be. I want that fight to go longer.

It seems like that punch would had bothered Aldo eventually, that is if it didn't land so clean the first time. So you're probably right that McGregor wins by KO in most cases.

Thought the Weidman fight got a little uncomfortable with the ref not stopping the fight. Reminded me of the first years of the UFC when it took a ton to stop a fight.

That was a beating.
