Of course it's doubtful we get the #2 pick to be able to draft him, but hey at least it's plausible.

Kid is growing on me quickly, he fills so many needs, he's like a Swiss army knife.

Protects the paint, outstanding length, agilty, quick off his feet.

Shooting touch. Out to about 16 feet right now, feathery soft jumpshot.

Inside scoring, can get his jumphooks off on anyone on the planet, good ball handling can blow by his man.

Ability to switch and stay in front of guards even. He has a Defensive play yesterday that would knock any scouts socks off, kept the driving guard in front of him by sliding his feet all the way to the rim, then kept his hands up and swatted the shot.

 Good to great rebounder.

There is nothing he can't do. He could be better than Town's.

Oh and a rim runner, great speed for a 6'11" guy, perfect alley oop target.

And he would give us a real NBA big man that we haven't had since KG. Actually a lot of similarities minus the scowl.

No. The only real hope to get him is to get lucky with the ping pong balls.

How could you not be in love with Ben though? Is it his lack of jumper? Has to be.

Not necessarily.  If the Sixers get the #2 pick, I doubt they'd draft Skal unless they've already traded one of their bigs or Embiid suffers another injury.  So I could see them trading down a couple spots but I expect they'd want the Nets 2017 or 2018 to do so.

Simmons looks incredible so far. His court vision and poise are incredible. A definite star in the making. But yeah, not having seen any kind of jump shot yet, with the way the league is going, is a little concerning. Not enough to bump him from the #1, though. Not for me.

I do like Skal. I like the idea of an athletic shot blocker next to a bruiser like Sullinger, if he can keep up what he's been doing on the glass and continue to improve.
