If we did luck out and got the #1 pick. Where would you start Ben Simmons on our team. Bare in mind he has not attempted a jumpshot this season!

That being said he's dominating anyway you have yourself a 6'10" point guard with a 41" vertical that can grab 20 boards and 10 assists on any night.

Maybe we should just play him at center lol, since we don't have one anyway.

 I like small ball with

 Sully
 Simmons
 Bradley
 Smart
 Thomas

 Or

 Kelly
 Sullinger
 Simmons
 Bradley
 Smart

I'd like to see if Simmons could play center in a run and gun team.

It's certainly where I would play him in NCAA. Matchup nightmare.

is it just me, or does anyone else think smart could be expendable for us, to be included in a hypothetical deal for cousisns
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

IMO, Simmons lack of shooting makes it very clear that his future is at power forward. If you put him on the floor with another traditional power forward and center, you will kill your teams spacing. I see him as something like a rich man's Lamar Odom. He will be at his best when surrounded by as many shooters as possible. If his jumper is too broken to even attempt in college I don't expect it to be good enough for the wing in the NBA.

Smart - Combined with Bradley they make our perimeter D scary
Bradley - Best Shooter on the team
Crowder - Best SF on the team
Simmons - He would instantly become our franchise guy he needs to play and develop
Sullinger - Need a big body

The lack of shooting would hold us back, our defense and transition would keep us over 500.

I'd start him wherever gives him the best chance to succeed on the defensive end, but wouldn't be opposed to bringing him along slowly and have him start off coming off the bench, if necessary.

he might not start right away personally.  But he'd probably start over crowder.

Everybody seems concerned about Simmons 3 pt shooting but there just isn't enough evidence out there to say he's a bad shooter just yet. He hasn't taken a single 3 in college yet and it's not because he can't, it's because he gets in the paint way too easily which is incredible.

I need to see a team stop him from penetrating and scoring or penetrating and dishing assists before I claim he can't shoot.

Don't think Cousins is going anywhere unless C's are dealing a top 3 pick for him on draft night. If you give a pick like that for a player with Cousins' history you won't be giving them much more other than salary matches and KO.

Simmons is a 4 right now and will probably continue to be as long as his shooting doesn't drastically improve

TP for 'a rich man's Lamar Odom'. I haven't heard that comparison but I think that's dead on.

I think you start him and Sully as your bigs and call it a day.
