Ok, here are some ideas to trade for stars. I'm not going to specify which picks would go out in these deals but rather what players would make the money work. The goal in all these trades is to win more games now.

1. Lee, Zeller, Young and pick(s) for Dwight Howard
I'm not sure I even want him anymore because he seems to not be able to be the scoring threat he should for his size. But if things go further south in Houston they might consider changing things up if they got a good deal.

2. Lee, Young, Zeller or Rozier and pick(s) for Kobe
Not sure how much he has left in the tank, but I bet he would still be good for some playoff games and give us a go to scorer. Not a long term solution. Also not helping a position of need, but if the deal was cheap enough...

3.Lee, Jerebko and pick(s) for Carmelo Anthony
Really depends on how things go in NY in the next month or 2. I think We could slide Melo to the 4 and have a pretty balanced team after a trade like this. Like with Howard, I'm not a big Melo fan at all buy you can't say the talent isn't there.

4. And of course any number of trades for DMC would be an option be we have discussed these to death already.

Kobe is a star in name only. He would be our worst player and I am counting Young!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

There aint no Stars we can trade for right now--like when KG was available.
Best bet---is to Develop and Draft well.

These three guys (especially Kobe) all seem like they could be a difficult fit in Brad's system. If Dwight or Carmelo came at a reasonable cost and they were excited to join our team, I would be glad to have them; otherwise, it seems like it could be risky to our present and future.

no it's not a joke. But thank for the well thought out response. I'm looking at how cound we get to at least quasi contender this year. Given th right price all of these guys could help us.

Kobe isn't helping us unless they send an unprotected pick with him.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I would like to see Carmelo on this team. Lee would be the salary filler and then I think you'd need one or two prospects from the last 2 drafts, say Young and Mickey. Plus some picks. Maybe you keep the better picks and accept Calderon instead with Jerebko going the other way.

I was looking at trades earlier today and maybe its just too early in the season but I just don't see anyone who is at the stage of panic with a star. I can't find a team where it would make sense to trade them in season as opposed to draft night if at all.

Three players I'd like to see nowhere near Boston!

How about we go after gortat
Washington looks like they have internal issues and are putting a Houston rocket effort out there.
