He's probably worth a late first
I'm bitter.

I've been pushing a Zeller + Philly's second for Clint Capela trade for a while.

2nd rounder.  Maybe two.  Zeller is a backup center who isn't getting much playing time and he is going to be an RFA this offseason.  I don't see anyone giving up even a late 1st for him.

Last summer? A late lottery to mid first rounder.

This trade deadline with contract about to expire. Probably a late first. Still have restricted free agent rights but there is a big payday on the horizon and still a risk of losing him. So only a late first rounder.

We got Zeller for nothing, dont think he was worth a lottery pick last summer and I dont think you will get a first for him. Kanter went for a first last season.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Two 2nd rounders.
He's expiring so his biggest value will be to a contender that needs a back up big man after injury to a rotation big.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

His Brother.  :P

I don't think he's staying, not sure how much more money he will get for resigning, but his expiring could be worth more in a few weeks than he's really worth. Might be why we are now seeing him play more.

Rockets push that proposal out the window.

That won't get it done for Capela considering his good play as of late and Zeller being glued to the bench. It's a shame Ainge didn't pounce when there were rumors of Capela being dangled for cap/roster space last year by Houston.

ZERO!
He cannot play D!

Zellar is the perfect backup C with a little Offensive upside. Terrible Defensive Player, Terrible.
