well it is a silly question to begin with. How can we assume that all 3 nets picks will be top 3? Even if the nets committed to filling up the roster with kids from the make a wish foundation and never won another game, getting top 3 picks for 3 years in a row would be statistically unlikely (I think.)
To a more realistic question, would you trade the picks as is for Durant assuming he would resign or sign and extension and assuming our doctors gave the ok. The answer then has to be yes. The chances we ever draft someone as good as KD are low. Even if we did luck out there is still the opportunity cost. If we can get a KD (or DMC or Melo or some other star) this season we still have room for another top FA in the off season. And we have room for Another max guy in the next offseason.
