The Kings just benched him and they have a well documented history of incompetence/bailing on young lottery picks early. McLemore has definitely shown flashes and is just 22 if I'm not mistaken. What would you be willing to give up for him?

Something like our first (lottery protected) and ET?

I would definitely be interested in a Turner for McLemore trade, but I'd balk on the lottery protected part. That pick could easily be just outside the lottery and McLemore's rookie scale contract is quickly running out. We have so many 2nd rd picks that it would be conceivable to think Turner and say 3 2nd rd picks for McLemore could get it done.

I would give them Zeller, Turner and two seconds for McLemore. Two guys who I don't think will be here long term for a young guy with upside, classic Ainge move.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I vaguely remembered that. I've been interested in him for a while now, but this benching makes me think he might actually be available.

I'm not crazy about him.  Still has limited 1 on 1 skills.  Can't really create for himself or others.  Is a straight jump shooter which is crazy considering is athleticism.  That being said, for spare parts and some useless second rounders given our plethora of draft picks... why not.

After reading some Kings sites, it definitely seems as if a mid first wouldn't even be necessary. A couple of 2nds and ET would probably do it...that's a no-brainer IMO.

I watched him last night in the Kings game versus the Rockets.  BM didn't play that well.  He has the athleticism but sometimes has trouble with dumb turnovers and poor shot selection.  He seemed better last year for the games that I watched.  Either way he has yet to make any great leap as an nba player that would make me want to give up any major asset for him.  I am thinking more of a evan turner + a 2nd round pick for him.  Turner might fit better as a more experienced wing with Sac.  Maybe Brad can have more luck with Ben than his other coaches.

Rumor had it that George Karl was high on ET during the Cousins to Boston debacle last year.

ET and Rondo 9n the same team. Those poor overdribble basketballs.

McLemore was 18th in defensive RPM on ESPN's real plus/minus for SG's last year!!  That is not bad at all, especially on a Kings' team that was not exactly a defensive stalwart!!

He is a career 34% shooter from long range despite shooting a dismal 28.6% from three this year.

Celtics need a SF, not a SG.

I agree, McLemore still has plenty of potential, and he has the raw physical talent and shooting stroke that bodes well for him turning into exactly the kind of wing player the Celts need more of.

I'd happily swap Turner and the Dallas pick for him.
