If its not clear that Danny wants to extend Sullinger or Turner, or if he wants to pick up the option on Young....

Could he trade the trio for either OJ Mayo or Marvin Williams plus a throw in guard in order to get an unprotected pick?

1. It frees up playing time for the three rookies on the roster.

2. Another unprotected pick is another shot at Ben Simmons. (Charlotte pick is gonna be better)

3. Saves money. Instead of giving Turner/Sullinger big extensions, that money could go to a free agent and also to extend Zeller and Olynyk at the right price.

If these guys arent part of the future, does it make sense to cut ties now and get something? Or do you wait and see if their value is higher at the deadline? Or do you keep them for a playoff push and let the chips fall where they may in the offseason?

Is this a three-party trade, Our 3->Mayo/Williams->unprotected pick?

Actually, it probably doesn't matter. We could trade the three, I guess, but not for a draft pick that we would want. Nobody is going to give us a potential A-rated player for a bunch of Bs and Cs.

I suppose it depends on the team. I'm sure Philly wouldn't do it, since they will certainly have a lottery pick. Maybe a team like Cleveland or GS would be more likely to since there pick will be at the end of the first.

No one is giving up an unprotected pick for that package. It'd be top 3 protected at the very least to prevent what happened to the Clippers when they salary dumped Baron Davis.

Sullinger might get you something, might. He will be a RFA and those RFA rights are valuable if you want him as a player as cheaply as possible contract wise.

Turner will get you nothing. He's an expiring below average guard.

Does anyone think those 3 guys are going to get us anything right now? If anyone wanted Sully or Turner they could just sign them next year. Is there a team out there that just has to have them right now?

Sullinger is a RFA, not so easy to sign if you want him as the market this year proved.

Young is the biggest asset of the bunch at this point for a team looking forward, Sullinger can at least play in the NBA. Turner, well he's Turner  :-X.

Its likely that any team willing to offer us a first round pick for Sully, Turner, & Young is going to be a team on the cusp of making the playoffs. And most likely their are going to want to add protections (at least top 10)

Teams that I believe may be interested:

1) Wizards: Martel Webster, Dejuan Blair, Garret Temple, & a 2016 1st (top 10 protected) for Sully, Turner...(& Young?!?!?)

I'd be extremely hesitant to add Young to this deal...

2) Suns: PJ Tucker, Jon Leuer, 2016 1st (protected top 10) for Sully, Turner, Young.

TJ Warren would get the start at SF. Turner off the bench at SF playing point-forward. Sully off the bench. Young=project

  • Celtic's only raise championship Banners
This time last year people were saying that Sully was our version of K Luv and it was all good that we missed out on Love.
Soon we will have to make choices on players to resign which are not even going to be our next star or bring us a championship.....just tank. Use both our pick and BKN's.

We could probably get an unprotected for them if it is from a good team who is confident they will have a playoff spot. A bad team would insist on protection for that package.
