Just want to see what are best offer looks like, or a trade that actually leaves us a starting five with a player or two off the bench.

All our picks and unprotected firsts  until 2020.

And I'll include Danny Ainge+ Scal.

Coach Stevens and Tommy are off-limits though.

Lab/Simmons, Hunter, Rozier, Dallas 1st, Philly 2nd, and both Wolves 2nds. Also absorb a bad contract via AJ and JJ. That is a great rebuild kit. Without Lab/Simmons though there is no way I can see C's trading for Davis. Pelicans need a top 10 talent "potential" player and assets to trade their top 5 player.

All our draft picks, Smart, the 07-08 championship, and the rights to the first championship we win with Davis.

All of the above. Also we have to relocate Harvard, MIT, and the Fidelity, Novartis, and Biogen headquarters to Louisiana.

New Orleans can pretty much help themselves to anything on the Celtics roster plus the rights to my first two unborn children.

Assuming Davis demands to be traded and he agrees to go to Boston (and not Philly who could top us), then I think something like that would make sense for both teams.

NO trades:
Davis 7 million
Asik 9 million

Bos trades
Sullinger 2.6 million
Zeller 2.6 million
Lee 15 million
BKN 2016 1st
DAL 1st
BOS 2016 and 2018 1st

I think that would be a pretty reasonable trade.  NO gets two young guys that expire but that are RFA's so they can see if they want to keep them and they get out of Asik's long contract.  Plus they get 4 firsts, two of which have a good chance at being in the lottery, plus 2 more firsts.  This trade can't be made until December 15, so by then there will be an indication of the value of the BKN and DAL picks (so another 1st i.e. Minnesota's or another BKN might need to be thrown in).

That would leave Boston (with 1 open roster spot)
PG - Smart, Thomas, Rozier
SG - Bradley, Hunter, Young
SF - Turner, Crowder, Jerekbo
PF - Davis, Johnson, Mickey
C - Asik, Olynyk

For the record, if that trade is made, I think Boston would then make a real push for someone like Brook Lopez or Carmelo Anthony by using the remaining BKN 1st's and Minny 1st (if it still has that one).  That would make Boston a real threat to the Cavs in the East and the teams out west.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

If by "best" you mean, what is the most we could offer- then I think we add Gordon to the deal, give all the picks owed to us as well as our pick every other year until 2020 (or as far out as they let you trade picks) and let match salary with any players they want. I imagine they would take smart, Rozier, IT, Bradley and Sully.

Pretty much, basically the KG deal with all of our future picks and any talent they care to have.

Best player in the league and he's still so [dang] young.

Well, since we are on Celticsblog...

Olynik, Turner, Young, Sullinger, Jerebko, MN 2016 pick (protected for the first round)

Here's how I value it:

On a scale of 1-10, Davis is clearly a 10.

Olynik is about a 3, Turner is a 2, Young is a 2, Sullinger about a 2, Jerebko about a 3. That MN pick is worth about 1. Thus, we're giving away 13 points and receiving 10.

Before you start complaining that we're giving away too much, remember that Davis might have all-star potential and we really should give them a couple of PFs to pick up the slack.
