40 wins

Sounds right to me.

Cle
Wash
Chi
Tor
Atl
Mia
Indy
Mil

All finish in front of us, maybe even the Knicks.

I think we start off pretty well and play exciting fun basketball, but not at the end. Last year we "lucked out" (depending on your perspective) by getting a lot of soft wins the last quarter of the year. Unlikely to back in again this time.

This assumed that our roster stays as currently constituted with no stars added.

I believe the Celtics will be in the 40 - 50 range and towards the top end of that. Over 50 (which I voted for because I am an eternal optimist and my bookie knows this) is a tough call but I do believe the team will be consistent throughout the season (CBS effect) and safely qualify for the playoffs.

I missed by 2 last year, this year they will win 43 games....which will mean another freaking crappy draft pick.

I have emailed Nets management with a recommendation that they pursue a "76'ers style" rebuild sans draft picks. I just know they can do it.

I have no doubt 50 games is can be achieved. In truth 45-50 wins does not concern me, it's playoff series wins that concern me. With no top 20 player it will be near impossible to get past 2nd round.

I'll say 44-38 and the #7 seed in the East.  And a top 5 pick from the Nets.
