Right. We need them to hover around .500 for a while if we want the pick this year. So these intermittent wins are good for us.

What in the world is going on with the Rockets? Hopefully this horrid play for them keeps up until Monday!

The Rockets are awful so far! I think Howard is still at half speed, and Lawson has been terrible as their starting PG. They also have zero depth. It's Harden , Howard, and that's it. Now that Jones is back he might help, but they need more shooters and ball distributors. They miss Demo to some extent too.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this Harden elbow to the head call, because it is the exact same situation that happened with Marcus last year. He got a flagrant 2 and kicked out of the game.

EDIT: So it was a flagrant 1. I figured. I still hate that call for both players. That's just one of those things where "sh*t happens."

would you trade Crowder for Powell ??

I still don't get why we had to give up Powell in the trade.

So how does the Dallas pick work exactly? They need to be around .500 for us to get a lock on it?

If they're sub .500 Celtics don't get it?  ??? ???

Top 8 protected. If they end up being in the top 8 worst teams in the league this season, their will get their pick. Otherwise, we'll get it.

In order for us to get it, we need them to hang around in the top 9-14 for the lottery pick. Chances they'll make the playoffs is slim with the western conference being competitive.

I still don't get why we had to give up Powell in the trade.

We needed the roster spot.  We had 14 players before the trade, and needed three spots to bring in all the players. One spot was open, Rondo provided another, and Powell gave us the last one (and is probably the reason a 2nd was included)
I'm bitter.
