If he put that up all year he would have an outside shot due to his defensive rep

Outside shot indeed. I mean, if AB is an allstar, then there are a bunch of talented eastern guards out there who probably deserve it too. For example, guys like IT4, Bradley Beal, John Wall, Reggie Jackson, Kyle Lowry, Derozan, Kemba Walker, Jeff Teague, and D-Wade. And then there are the SG/SF hybrids like Jimmy Butler, Batum and Paul George. Even guys like CJ Miles and Fournier have been balling this year.

If he continues his present level ,  keeps the consistency .....works on his handle and passing more.....

I Think he could be considered a fringe star .....like every guy on Hawks .

Avery is really looking like a super steal at his contract level.

Several non Celtics forums ....Avery is near the head of the list of realistic players they would like to have on their team......  Lakers, Heat , Bulls , Pacers blogs all like his game.

I don't blame them.  Avery's so well suited to being a great complementary guy.  He actually has a bit more responsibility offensively right now in Boston than is ideal, but if he played next to a wing player who was a good creator and scorer with the ball in his hands, Avery would be a great "3 and D" point guard in the right situation.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Put him on the Spurs and watch out ;D

I really like AB coming off the bench. His shooting keeps getting better he could be our Microwave for those old enough to remember him.  :)

I am a big AB fan and want him to be retained as a Celtic well into the future. I think he falls short of being an all star. It wouldn't surprise me if he was picked, I just think he will struggle to get his presence above others in the east.

I think IT may be picked and that limits AB's chances.

He is an all star for me though. Even if he remains a level below all star standard, he contributes so much to this team and has remained a C through such tough times that I just want AB to be part of the next championship if/when it comes.

I know that isn't about stats and form, but I know AB won't drop too much in any area. The team is better with AB on board and I want him in green, not opposed to green.

All Star? Probably not.

But how does that $8m/yr contract look now?
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

I think he will make an all star game. I believe it more now.

It's gotten to the point where I'm actually, sort of concerned how big his next contract is going to have to be.

I don't remember there being a lot of outrage about his contract on the forums, actually.

Too early in the season to be concerned...

But good thing we have him locked in until 2018.

We'll see whether or not if he is good enough to be deemed Allstar worthy, aka max contract material.

I always felt like Bradley could be a more improved version of Eric Gordon, minus his ball handling. Hes a far superior defender, but so many people like me, have clamored for bringing in EG, but Bradley does everything except ball handing; better.
