James Ham tells the Koz and Bru Show that Willie Cauley-Stein is not in shape

Speaking to Aaron Bruski of the Koz and Bru Show, CSN Kings Insider James Ham said that rookie Willie Cauley-Stein could barely run up and down the court during training camp.

“He is going to open the season at 14 minutes a game, if he’s lucky. When you show up to camp and you can’t run up and down the court twice without being so winded you have to pull yourself off the court, then something’s wrong.”

I was intrigued by WCS, but cognizant that there seemed to be an undercurrent around him about his dedication to his craft. This would certainly  add to that.

was this due to his injury before? o well, sounds it could be a conditioning problem as well...

on a totally unrelated note - I hate the word cognizant!

You're right about cognizant. 'Aware' would have been better, but I'm tired with a bad head cold, so I'm forgiving myself. In any case, WCS was one guy I was up and down on all during the pre-draft season and this makes the anti-WCS side of my brain feel better that we didn't trade up to get him.

What's wrong with cognizant?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

What's wrong with cognizant?

it's not related to what was said, just a 3rd party vendor (named cognizant) my company is working with that is giving me a headache lol

hmm, probably due to the fact that being drafted by the Kings is depressing as hell and already has left WCS questioning "why bother trying"?  ;)

I wouldn't bury Stein over the analysis of the Kings' version of A Sherrod.

I have always thought that it just looked like it was spelled wrong.

On a WCS note, I was quite excited on draft night that there were rumblings of him free-falling down draft boards, but was cognizant  ;) of the fact that Cousins wanted the Kings to draft him. He is certainly an intriguing player - let's hope he can get it together.

Until further notice, I'll be referring to WCS as "Fat Biyombo" instead of "Poor Man's Biyombo".  Thanks.

I considered "Big Mac® Biyombo", but I thought that'd be too confusing.

This sounds exactly like something that would happen to the Kings. Someone needs Whoopi Goldberg to try to talk to the dead on their behalf because something is just not right there

BigMac Biyombo is funnier, but it sounds like you're referring to Biyombo himself.  Tough choice here for optimal posting efficiency.

Please go with Big Mac® Biyombo, that's brilliant.
